Almost every single night/early morning they pretend that their "system is down" so that they do not have to take orders or work. Over the last several months (since October of 2021 to be precise), I have attempted to order food there only to get the same excuse AT LEAST a dozen times. "Our system is down." Sometimes the "system is down" at 0300am, 0500am, midnight, 0100, etc. One week earlier this year I went four nights in a row and one of those nights I went twice in a four hour time span just to prove a point to myself that they are almost certainly lying.
Several times they just didn't ever come to the speaker to say anything at all even though I could clearly see people inside "working" (sitting around on their phones.
On the increasingly rare occasion that they actually have taken my order, I've had to wait up to a half hour with only one other car in the drive through line. There is usually at least a ten minute wait even if there are no other customers at all. I've been told to hold at the speaker for nearly ten minutes twice. I assume they were hoping I'd just give up and drive away, but I'm not one to let people get away with petty nonsense without pushing back at least a little. They are often rather rude and act like you're burdening them for ordering at all. Not always, as I've had a few really nice people take my order for sure, but usually they are either rude or the "system is down."
It is interesting to note that the system is always "down" when a certain female worker is there it seems. Whatever the case, I simply do not believe that their system goes down multiple times a week over the course of several months only late at night or early in the morning. It's absurd and I can't believe the manager hasn't caught on and realized that they are going hours at a time not taking orders regularly. They might as well just close between 0600am and 1000pm if they aren't going to actually be open and serve food during those hours. They have to be running ridiculous labor costs having employees just hanging out for hours and hours so often.
On the off chance that the system is actually going down multiple times a week over the span of several months, then that's still a huge problem. There's no reason why any fast food spot should have such frequent system crashes over such a long period of time. It's 2022. Taking orders, keeping track of money, and figuring change can all be done via free software from a cheap cell phone or laptop. I was patient enough to wait till everyone ahead of me was able to get their orders before I placed mine which happens to be an hour after I arrived. There was a lot of chaos in the resturant at that time. Obviously they had a new guy on the front counter apparently training, he went by the name of Tyler, and the way he was talking to customers and talking to his superiors was not customer service and/or showing respect of other employees. I myself is a store manager for O'Reilly Auto Parts in Memphis and I personally won't have an employee show bad customer service and talk down to me like this guy did to his supervisors on duty.
