I came here with a friend. I think she a meat lover mac and cheese dish and loved it.
I couldn't decide l, several dishes looked tasty. I was beyond hunger. Haha. Jeremy suggested the burgers were great but I also wanted mac and cheese....so guess what, I ordered a plate that had mac and cheese on top of a burger and a slab of bacon on top of the burger. Yum! I also ordered jalapeno poppers.
I took half my burger home as well as 3/4 of the appetizer. Warmed up in the air fryer, it made a delish dinner.
The restaurant was clean and empty when we arrived. We had time to talk to Jeremy who explained that this location was geared more to family dining. It definitely appeared family/kid friendly with its openness, television cartoons, and fun colorful art. Despite there being a beer tap and welcoming seperated bar seating, it is clear it is not a bar intended for single socializing or carousing. Maybe more like a spot to meet friends for a beer/wine and fast meal or snack before or after shopping or movie watching.
I would eat here again. Theres a few more items I'd like to try! Glad we got there when it was quiet. Jeremy, our host and...
Read moreWent to Mac Daddy’s for lunch today and got the lobster Mac after hearing such rave reviews about it—can indeed say it was delicious! However, it was the poor customer service and communication that is knocking the stars down. After our meal and it came time to pay, my fiancé showed our server his military ID and asked for a to-go lemonade. We were under the assumption they offered free refills since the drinks were $5. After our server came back with our card and check, she informed up that refills were NOT free (Wish this was communicated to us before charging our card but whatever). When going to sign, we noticed she failed to apply a military discount to our check. When this was brought to her attention, she said “I’m sorry, I already charged your card, I’ll be sure to get you guys next time” then just left. Didn’t come back. We got no kind of compensation, refund, or idea of how she plans on “getting us next time”. She just left. Due to such poor customer service, I’m not sure we will be back or can recommend this location to friends or family. Good Mac though, but will probably only visit the other...
Read moreOverall, a pretty good place. There appeared to be only two people working the floor for a Friday lunch, so the service was very slow, but friendly. I had the pulled pork mac, which was tasty but had WAY too much BBQ sauce, but still enjoyable. A net positive experience.
UPDATE: Attempted to go back on Sunday, May 5, 2024, after walking in Bloomsday. The restaurant was not overly busy, plenty of open tables, and I saw several servers walking the floor. I stood in the entry area in front of a sign that said "Please Wait to be Seated" for over 10 minutes. I attempted to make eye contact with several severs and the bartender and none of them spoke a word to me or acknowledged my presence. Two servers seemed to see me standing there, but did nothing. After 10+ minutes of standing in the lobby, I left. It's clear they were interested in my business that day. The mac and cheese is good, but not good enough for me to come back after two consecutive pretty poor service...
