MY GUYS: GO HERE. I have celiac as well as about 10 other food allergies- my husband has an additional 5 or so food allergies. I email the restaurant and asked if they'd be able to accommodate us. LORD. Not only did they accommodate, the owner (Mirak) went through the WHOLE MENU with me over email, explained what was safe, offered to CHANGE THE RECIPE OF THE CHICKEN if I wanted chicken (instead of the handful of safe options for me) and insisted on serving us and cooking for us himself so we didnt have to do anything or worry when we came. He set us a reserved spot, and when we got there, he introduced himself, remembered literally every allergy for myself and my husband individually, and tailored our meals exactly to our needs, down to the type of rice that came with each. The meal was INCREDIBLE the service was PERFECT and I had no celiac reactions and no allergy reactions at all- and neither did my husband. You owe it to yourself to go to this place. This was an absolute treat and I can't even tell you how many times I had to stop eating just to express how blown away I was with every bite. I kind of forgot what I got but it was a chicken dish with rice pilaf (shawarma?)and some amazing sauce. Hell, even the rice was out of this world! Every bite of rice was exciting. My wife had a dish that came with a garlic sauce that she chose and oh my God, that garlic sauce was one of the greatest sauces I've ever eaten in my life. So whoever is reading this, just put your phone down and head on over to skewers because it was completely worth every bit of it. They started as a food truck and now have a beautiful brick & mortar restaurant on Monroe & 1st, right across from The Fox Theater (formerly Scratch!). AUTHENTIC, HOMEMADE MIDDLE EASTERN CUISINE. Every bite screamed FRESH! The flavors are all spot on delicious. The portions were more than generous, like you're a guest in their home and they like you! The plating was a appealing. Restaurant Week means Foodie Olympics here in Spokane, so you know I had to order everything on the menu... all three choices for all three courses.
