The Ridler Piano Bar — Restaurant in Spokane

I have been there 3 more times since this. On this particular date, my cousin & I ordered drinks & food. The food NEVER came. When we asked about the order, they apologized and said they would place it right away. We waited & waited...... It still didn't come. When I asked a bartender (now former), he went to check on things. He immediately returned with about 1/2 of our order. I gave him a puzzled look, to which he replied..."The staff thought you didn't want it. So they were eating it"!!!! We didn't even get our money back. At that point we were so pissed!! If it wasn't for the fact that my cousin was talking with someone acquainted with the bar, I would have raised cane!! I was waiting to see how they would deal with things. But nothing was said or done while we were there. The other incident was about a week or 2 later. We were in there again, she ordered us drinks at the bar. It took her a while to get back to the table. When she did come back she explained how frustrated she was. Apparently the bartender messed up on the order 3 times!! And mine was still not right!! I asked for a Jack & Coke neat. But it was loaded with ice! When I took it back up there the bartender just poured it through a strainer into another glass. But it wasn't even 1/2 full!! Yet, I paid full price!! The music is great! The performer, Christian, is extremely talented and very nice to the patrons. One of the other nights was an Open Mic or something. There was a guy (Brad,I think) that was playing his guitar & singing (His kids will perform with him sometimes too). He was phenomenal!! I could have listened to him every day! I can't wait to hear him again. There was a Doorman/PR/Host by the name of Wayne that would always be there. He was AWESOME!! He would make sure everyone wad having a good time. Talk with you a while & make you feel like part of the family. He would even try to fix things, if there was a problem. He wasn't there the last time or 2 I was there. :-( We need to find Wayne!!! It's just not the same...

15/10. Food is good and drinks are on point. Atmosphere is fantastic. Music is insane. There isn't a song these players can't do.

But let's talk about the Vibe. LADIES THIS IS FOR YOU. The entire staff when we went were men. There was one female bartender but she disappeared shortly after we arrived. It was me and two of my girlfriends. We were just doing our own thing and had an issue with another male patron. These bouncers were ON IT! While the offender did leave before they could get to him, my friends and I were not left alone after that. There was always a bouncer or bartender within sight. They constantly checked on us.

WE HAVE NEVER FELT SAFER IN A PACKED BAR THAN WE DID THAT SATURDAY NIGHT.

Special shout out to Dylan and bartender and Shawn (Sean? DADDY WARBUCKS) the bouncer. We felt safe and appreciated as patrons because of these guys. Same with the tall, dark haired, bigger bouncer. I didn't get his name but I know he would have thrown hands for us. That means a lot in a time like this.

So 15/10. Absolutely recommend this place and will be going these everytime I'm in area.

I used to view this as a pretty chill and entertaining place with above par drinks. But we stopped in on a Friday and found the music so blaringly loud, we couldn't possibly enjoy ourselves or imagine how anyone else in the bar could either. We are all concert goers, some of us to metal shows, and we all agreed the sound level was uncomfortable. We mentioned this to the waitress, who pretended to do something, and in short order, informed her we would be leaving because it was just too over the top. At that point in time, we made up about 25% of the bar, but our view held no sway. Or total for the cover was 25 bucks, that wasn't refunded, in spite of us only staying for ten minutes. I can't see going back after an experience like that. It eclipses the good ones. It may have been an unusual night rather than a representation of how this place has changed, but I'm not willing to throw down another 25...
