UPDATE We got excellent service and excellent food on our visit. We ordered quite a variety of food including baked mussels, house green salad, clam chowder, chips and gravy, the salmon dinner, and the tiger shrimp lite fare. All the hot food was served hot, and all the cold food was served cold. We were seated in what seemed to be a nice private booth. There were a lot of little things that made big differences such as in the house green salad there were four different types of lettuce: arugula, iceberg, spinach, and romaine. The gravy for the chips (french fries) was excellent. There was a cream sauce served with the salmon that was superb. The baked mussels were served with a tomato and onion base broth, making them extremely tasty. The clam chowder had a lot of clams, and tasted homemade. Speaking of homemade, the mashed potatoes also tasted homemade. The steamed vegetables were steamed very well, not all hard and crunchy. The tiger shrimp had an excellent flavor to them, perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
INITIAL REVIEW This was a fun place to stop by to get some fish and chips. Nicely decorated, but low lighting. The only thing we had was a fish and chips and a light lager beer. The fish was very good, light beer batter and thick flaky fish. Served with what appears to be homemade coleslaw and homemade tartar sauce. Both were excellent. The french fries were actual real potatoes and cooked well. I had the funny feeling the potatoes were Irish and the cabbage was Irish lol. It must have been the decor. Very friendly fast service. We will definitely be back to try some more of the menu. They mentioned all you can eat fish on Thursdays! If they had given me fewer fries and more of that delicious coleslaw, I probably would have...
Read moreWe had the most terrible experience ever today.
The owner was so rude and disrespectful I honestly can’t believe he treated good customers like that.
We have been here multiple times, both for big games and everyday games, and have never been treated like this.
We were going to see the England euro semi final game, and as we were pulling into the parking lot, someone hit our car. We had to exchange information and talk to the insurance, so we were late for the game. Our friends who were inside let the owner know and even told him our names.
When we got in he was rude when we first tried to talk to him, then when we realized they were in the back room he was standing there and slammed the door in my face and said it was full. I know it was not because we had friends in there and could see in before he slammed it.
We headed out and then our friends came out to talk him and he said, I’m not letting anyone in after 12, and that it’s his bar so he decides who gets to go in. He then proceeded to other people in but not us.
Our friends then came out to join us in the main bar area, and when my friend spoke to him he was very rude and confrontational. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else to watch the rest of the game.
He must know that he had an uptick in attendance because of the closing of The Crown & Anchor, but to treat regular customers this way was so unexpected and out of line. So...
Read moreThe food was pretty good. The half order of nachos is enough to feed a party of 6 as an appetizer, though the cheese used isn't the typical melting kind, so it hardens quickly and makes everything stick together. Personally, i prefer more of a queso style, but to each their own. All of the other appetizers were great.
The drink options were all good, and everyone loved their main entrees.
I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was AMAZING. (Hopefully she or a manager sees this and can update her name from our visit on 2/19/25) She stayed engaged with us, even when it took a bit longer than usual to get our drinks constantly checking in on us. She was very energetic and joked with our group, even after dropping a drink and the glass shattering). I told her to surprise me for choice of my main course and she did not disappoint.
The bar area looked very open and inviting, and a plethora of various drinks and beers.
This place is a hidden gem. Close enough to the strip, but nowhere near the prices you'd pay on strip. The portion sizes were perfect. Despite the prices being lower than most places in the strip, the portion size(s) were much more than expected.
I will definitely go again on my next trip to Vegas. It would be cool if they had a reward program for frequent visitors similar to some other Irish pubs I've gone to in Georgia and Florida.
Overall, a must check...
