Sunset Grill & BBQ — Restaurant in Springdale

Came in the restaurant sat the table and it took at least 10 minutes before the waitress even came to our table. She was to busy setting and talking to other customers. Finally got some coffee and menus, took her at least 10 to come back and take our order she continue setting and talking to other customers. Finally came back and took our very simple order. While waiting on our food she never came once to ask if we needed more coffee. It took 25 minutes to get our food and when we finally got the food it was cold. And we finally got some more coffee. The waitress was to busy gossiping with other customers to see if we needed more coffee From what I observed the only reason why we got our food when did was cause she to place another order. Never once did she come to see if we needed more coffee while we Waited on food. The food sat back there while she setting and talking to other customers like we were nothing. I worked in restaurants for 10 yrs I understand you have your favorites and you like to gossip and talk to them and them feel special but there are other customers like to be waited on and there coifffe and food served in a timely matter. And when we finally get our food it’s not cold, like our food was today. I was going to seed our food back but my sister wouldn’t let me. Maybe she was having a bad day or something. Maybe I am old fashion but that’s not the way you treat your customers if you want them to come back. The word of mouth goes a long way. The service was terrible and it has been the last few times we have been in. Thinking it might get better and give it the benefit of the doubt. But...

We sat ourselves as they told us to but multiple parties that came in after us were greeted and served first. Finally we got our drinks and ordered. The waitress said she was sorry and we were totally fine with it, thinking things could still improve. However, I sat without coffee for over ten minutes waiting for a refill. It wasn't that it was super busy either. Just no awareness of how to serve customers it seems. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast and when I got mine, it wasn't even that warm.

I'm understanding. I was a server for 7 years. I understand that restaurants get busy on the weekends. However, do not use a "seat yourself" practice if you can't handle it as a restaurant, which clearly Sunset Grill cannot. Unfortunately we will not be back and will take our business elsewhere. Funny thing is we wanted to go to Susan's but didn't because of how crowded it was. However, something tells me we would have been served way...

Don’t do it my friends keep your money in your pocket I will not name everything however I will say I ordered a western Omelette and it came out browner than my toast, yes that’s right it was way overcooked and I only managed to get one cup of coffee because the white staff just wanted to stand around and visit with each other instead of seeing to the needs of the customer, the reason we stopped there was because it was 10.00 Am and every other place was full, So we decided to Stop and there were 4 tables with guests at them and they have approximately 35 tables so I asked the waitress where was all the customers and she said oh you just barely missed them I hope they can really get it back together. This used to be one of my favorite places to stop...
