I've been on a bit of a pizza hiatus after spending some time in New York but the pizza craving kicked in this week, and I landed here at Victorianos. I usually start with a plain cheese slice to get a baseline but for some reason, I just dove right into toppings land yesterday. The case had 4 different slices in it if I remember correctly: cheese, pepperoni, sausage/onion and mushroom/onion/spinach. I ordered two slices since I was quite hungry!
My first slice had mushrooms, onions, and spinach. It had a good amount of toppings evenly coating the pizza, the cheese was delicious and it was reheated well! Even though it was a larger slice with a little flop, it still had a really nice crispy bottom and the exterior crust was crispy and chewy! I couldn’t really distinguish any flavors from the sauce but this was my favorite of the two. My second slice had sausage and onions. This one wasn't reheated as well since the cheese was a bit stiff, the toppings were a bit scarce and the crust wasn’t as crispy. I think this one could’ve spent a little longer in the oven and used a little more sausage on it.
However, for the price of $5 a slice and a welcoming atmosphere, I would say I was satisfied with my experience. I would definitely return here in the future for more slices or a whole pie since they had some intriguing looking creations! I was eyeing up their tiramisu in the fridge as well which I could easily see myself buying next time. It looked like the owners were working alongside the staff slinging pies which I always love to see in the...
Read moreAt Victoriano's, I recently had the pleasure of devouring one of the best New York style pizzas in the valley. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the new owners who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warmth and dedication to the business was evident in the delicious pizza they crafted.
The Brooklyn pizza instantly became my favorite with its perfect balance of flavors, and let me tell you, this is the real deal when it comes to New York style pizza. The freshness of the ingredients shines through in every bite, making it a memorable experience. I couldn't help but admire how Victoriano's has captured the essence of a true New York slice while maintaining a local flair.
What's more, the location is unbeatable, with the option to enjoy your pizza at the restaurant, order carry out, or savor it by the picturesque Lift and Loop Trail in Stillwater. It's easy to see why the people of Stillwater who are in the know gravitate towards this place when they're craving pizza. This is the spot where community, quality, and authenticity come together for a fantastic dining experience. And for those who need a non-alcoholic drink while driving, they've got you covered too. Cheers to Victoriano's for being a shining example of great food and atmosphere...
Read moreI'm not a 5 star for everything person, nothings perfect, but Victorino's is one of the best if not the best in the St. Croix Valley. I love the modern takes on NY style pies. My go to is the Gem with pepperoni, hot honey and ricotta cream. My only occational negitives with the pies is the bake is sometimes on the hard side. A little charing is great, but a few times the majority of the crust had a char. The bottom crust as has been compressed and gets a little dense, but does not take away from the great pizza. Solid 4.5.
I love when you walk in for carry-out there is only a small counter and pick-up rack between you and everything going on in the kitchen, it's a great atmosphere. Since new management took over a handful of years ago the ordering processes and customer service has also vastly improved.
Also, I think every time I've walked into the shop the same employee, or possible owner or social manager, comes up and asks if they can help us with anything. We don't even need to be at the counter. It's active listening at its best. Having done sales and customer service I was very impressed. Thank you woman whose name I...
