This was an absurdly bad experience getting takeout food at a restaurant. We submitted our order and it said the ASAP pickup time was 7 pm. We got there at 7 pm and there were people waiting for their food already; not a big deal at all. At about 7:20, a takeout girl comes out for the first and only time we saw her and served 1 customer.
About 10 minutes later, customers just start going in the takeout door and coming out with their food. The person parked next to us remarked that there were completed orders sitting everywhere. At 7:35 I go in as well with another lady. People just start going in themselves. We're walking through the kitchen and grabbing our marked orders and people are walking out. Before I get out the door, I realize none of my food is warm...at all. I decide that I've paid $62 for this food and I'm not paying for cold food. So I flag down the nearest employee and I say I need to talk to a manager. She's at the terminal for dine-in customers and says she 'can't help me' and I told her to [please] 'get someone out here now.
Now, the takeout girl was amazing. I don't know who taught her customer service, but it wasn't this organization. She asked what I wanted and I said, 'my money back in full.' She took down my information and said I would be credited in 5 to 7 business days (which I had better be). SHE did everything right as far as customer service is concerned; listened, apologized, expressed empathy, and allowed us to have the food for free on top of the refund. More than fair. And again, I expect to see my refund in the time-frame she quoted.
This store and organization set this girl up to fail. She apologized because she was the ONLY employee conducting curbside takeout. Why?? Why are you offering a service you clearly cannot fulfill? This girl is amazing and you literally left her to fend for herself. Maybe you should hire or assign enough employees to provide quality service in ALL areas of the business.
I look forward to seeing my refund or we will be communicating further about...
Read moreI ordered a meal that I have had twice before, Chicken pasta with shrimp. I do not like spices especially onions, I just wanted the chicken and plain Alfredo sauce on the noodles. 2 past times I was able to get this (last time being 2 weeks ago) however I was not able to get this tonight. When I placed my order with the waitress, I explained exactly the changes I needed to the pasta. The waitress insisted that the green items in the pasta was not onions but parsley, I tried to tell her that they were green onions but she would not listen. My meal arrived to the table with lots of green onions. I sent it back, then the manager comes to see me and starts insulting me, telling me that there is no way that I received that meal without any spices added. I had, twice, and I went there tonight just so I could have that same pasta meal again. I know what I ordered and what I ate twice before! I told the manager to just simply take it back that I no longer wanted the meal. She brought me out another meal, and stood there and told me to try it, and stood there waiting like I was a two year old child! Manager said that they would take care of the cost of the meal because I was so unhappy. I was more humiliated than unhappy. But of course when we got the bill the dinner charge was on there. My husband had to dispute it with the waitress who took it to the insulting manager. My husband had a burger with a side sweet potato. His burger was fine, but the sweet potato was pathic! I have never seen a sweet potato that tiny and flat. I seriously couldn't believe that they served that potato to him. It was a horrible experience tonight. I do not think we will be going back any time soon. Being insulted and humiliated was not what I came out to the restaurant for. The experience was so upsetting I had lost my appetite, there was no way I was eating anything there. Very...
Read moreMy friend was feeling a little bit blue so we decided to go out for some good eats. We decided to try the Strongsville Outback location since the last couple locations I frequented were less than impressive. Our waitress was prompt and attentive her name was Crystal. She greeted us quickly, got our drink order started and returned with bread right away. We started out with the blooming onion. It was sooo small and wasn't fully breaded, we asked to send it back and get a new one. The 2nd one came out fully breaded and a reasonable size. I've included 2 photos of the first blooming onion. Versus its replacement. We both ordered the filets med rare. Both steaks were delivered almost completely raw and were very thick and full of gristle. So for the 2nd time they had to take our food back to replace it, so then we waited even more time. The waitress was very apologetic over the wait both times. The manager finally brought the steaks back out mine was now over cooked but I didn't feel like waiting for another steak to be cooked so I didn't even say anything. After bringing over to go containers the waitress looked at us and said, I feel really bad about your experience today. Can I grab you a dessert on the house. This was a nice gesture. But it didn't come from the manager. So I feel like the manager felt that replacing the food items was enough for the inconvenience and it was on behalf of the waitress giving the free dessert but after getting the check I see the manager didn't comp anything on the ticket for having to remake the appetizer and remake both of our steaks. I just feel like just remaking the food wasn't sufficient enough for us being inconvenienced twice. I am not gonna give up on Outback, but I may need to...
