I was visiting family in Lakewood on this very nice night (72 degrees in march) and I got in the mood for bringing some Tacos and other mexican yummies home afterwards. The place I like in Lakewood closed at 9pm (covid I guess) and I was bummed out. Then I remembered a new place opened in Strongsville. And they were still open at 9:30pm. So I thought it’d be the perfect night to finally try it out. My wife and I are both vegetarian so finding a meal that the chef has designed around the diet hard to find. Most places have horrible options for vegetarian. Well, I am so happy to say this meal was absolutely freaking amazingly delicious. Every single thing I ordered and I ordered A LOT! The chips, the salsas, the queso, just everything. They use very cool stuff like jicama and jackfruit and other exotic ingredients that delight the tastebuds. The pricing is barely more than chipotle but 5x better, plus bigger servings. The spice level is so perfectly done. I guess I felt compelled to write a good review because this place actually deserves it! I have to take a long hard look at my favorite spots and make room for a new contender. The patio with its fire torches looked pretty cool too. Maybe during the next warm night, we...
Read moreI have to tell you, the most surprising thing about this place is the speed. Almost immediately after placing our order, I stepped away from the table to use the restroom. I was shocked when I came back to the table and my family was eating! I was only gone a few minutes! I came back the next day because I was in the area and my son wanted to try their food. It wasn't quite as fast, but was still much faster than expected from a sit down restaurant. I'm guessing everything is premade and just needs assembled when you place the order. This is a great place to go if you're in a hurry.
I'm vegetarian and it's nice to see options. They have two vegan recommendations in the menu and the ability to build your own. I always struggle with build your own because I don't know what flavors go well together. They have a good amount of options, even for vegetarians. On the first day I was there, I had one of the recommendations and one that I created. Surprisingly I made good choices when building my own, and mine was better then their menu recommendation! The second day I intended to try the other menu recommendation, but I accidentally ordered the same one as the day before. I guess I'll have to go back again one...
Read moreI am of the age when the taco was unremarkable mix of hamburger, sauce, salad and some cheese. It has come a long way. Though the price is sometimes startling, the quality and taste cannot be disputed. Very satisfied with the Purple Haze and Lucy's Fire selections made. Also the street corn guacamole is fabulous. (Chips caeme with it so have to agree with other reviewers that there should be no extra charge. Though Condado's chips are a lot more sturdy than average. It still goes against tradition as a gratis item. ) Service was pleasant and quick. Our server, Theresa was patient and helpful listening to the ramblings of a couple of old hipsters. (Ever hear of Jimi Hendrix?) And the happy hour margarita is great The happy hour prices made the trip reasonable. Definitely worth the trip back. Though the canned music in the place could stand a dial back to the 70s and 80s on occasion. **Thanks to owner for acknowledging my comments. That always indicates to me that there is some consideration. Frankly, I no longer patronize establishments that don't at least say something. Looking forward to visiting real soon. But since I am underwriting the expense for the A/C to a degree, I will sit...
