Philly's Pub — Restaurant in Stroudsburg

We went on a Saturday night around 8pm, it was pretty slow. A few people at the bar and a few outside tables. We sat at the bar, which was still not wiped down from the previous customers. The music was like something out of a club, a little off putting. The bartender said she would be right with us. No problem, we don't mind waiting, however she didn't offer us menus. Didn't clean the bar of the crumbs/spilled beer. She stood at the computer printing multiple checks with her back towards us. Could've easily engaged with us, at least offered menus. 5 minutes past, another gentlemen came to the bar and again the bartender said she'd be right with him, still yet to get to us. We waited another 5 minutes when we noticed her relaxed and just chatting with another table outside. We decided to leave and had a wonderful time with great service at the restaurant next door, yard of ale.

Wanted to give this place a try but unfortunately we won't...

I had the pleasure of sharing some Chicken Nachos with some friends I had just met. The Nachos with the Chicken Upgrade was phenomenal and a steal (Price Value for portion and it was fresh) for anyone looking for good food. Unfortunately we had to place an order across the way at Philly Steaks, but the order was taken accurately. Our group really would've preferred having traditional table service, but the bar was full so I understand we couldn't be accommodated by just one staff member and it could've been planned out better on our part. We picked up our food and served ourselves. I returned after 10 pm and the bar was packed like sardines in a can where if an emergency would've broken out there could've been a potential issue. Decor was dark and not much to look at on the walls, but my group thoroughly enjoyed going there to eat. Also I think the Jack Daniels may have oxidized a bit as it wasn't...

Use to be a good place. But I'm so tired of the bartenders childish behavior and continuously telling people that their money is fake. I despise when bars claim to have class, yet 15 yrs old girls are coming in the bar an getting served, while the actual adults don't get any service at all. People underage aren't even suppose to be in the bar. Smh... Such a disgrace. The owner needs to hire people who knows how to do their job properly and educate them about money an show the workers how to tell real from fake instead of trying to insult customers. 💯 That's how you lose customers.
