The manager was rude and unfriendly towards his customers. I ordered the mango snow ice, but the snow ice doesn’t come with any toppings. You have to add toppings for an additional $0.75 per topping. All other places I have gone to have at least one topping (that complements the flavor of the snow ice) that is included with the dessert. The snow ice also looked pretty sad - instead of being piled high like a mountain, it looked more like a molehill. It also tasted strange - not much of a mango flavor at all, and the condensed milk topping I added tasted more like powdered milk.
I asked the staff for water, which she was very happy to get me one. The manager came by and told her to not give it to me, even though she had already prepared it. He told me that I would have to buy bottled water and that the cafe does not give out free water. I have not been to a cafe where you can’t get water (at least tap water) for free, and especially when I am a paying customer.
The cafe was also very warm, and I and everyone in my group were practically sweating in the 80 degree Houston heat. It was overall not a pleasant experience unfortunately. Not a place to chill for sure...
Read moreThe price for Teapioca Lounge boba tea is on the higher side so be prepared on that front, but that was not all.
Our experience at Teapioca Lounge was rather unsettling, much like a recent review; the workers were unfriendly to say the least and gave us odd looks and stares, and weren’t very attentive whatsoever. I had to repeat myself for our order of one drink more than once and also sent it back for corrections that were halfway done, along with some grunts and a glaring look at me and disgusting stares at my partner.
We left Teapioca Lounge with a watery matcha flavor with some passion fruit popping boba being the sole saving grace of the drink, despite the high hopes we had after glancing at their menu and noticing the variety of options.
There are FAR superior choices for boba tea in the area which will remain unmentioned, but do yourself a favor and try those instead, unless you swear by this tea house. Thank you for reading and we hope you have a better experience...
Read moreCalled in advance to see when they close on Dec 1st 2020 and they said 8PM so I got the kids and arrived at 7:32PM and as soon as I pull up they turned off the lights inside... we drove 30 minutes to get there so I walked up and asked if they were closed? One of the employees looked at his watch as he was mopping the floor. He walked back to the register and looked at the time on there again and walked away from the counter. I said don’t worry we’re just going to take it and go in our car. Still they weren’t very happy for us being there but we ended up getting our drinks and one of the employees was arguing in a low tone with the other guy behind the counter for helping us. They gave us the drinks with no thanks or anything and rushed us out... in this pandemic and how businesses are closing due to low traffic this isn’t an attitude I want to see after driving so far to get there.. sorry but we might have to go elsewhere for our business...
