Stroke and Inpatient Neurology of Texas P.A.Stroke and Inpatient Neurology of Texas P.A.
For context, I am a physician who has overseen stroke certification and quality programs at 4-5 regional facilities, and my father himself is a physician. PAM Sugar Land Rehabilitation took excellent care of my father after a very difficult and complicated series of critical illnesses which required prolonged hospitalization after a fall-related surgical procedure. He suffered multiple issues including cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, acute on chronic renal failure, seizure, stroke, sepsis, and severe acute toxic-metabolic encephalopathy. He required numerous intensive care procedures, including intubation, continuous dialysis, feeding tube placement, and wound care to multiple areas of significant necrosis and pressure sores. When he was stabilized after an extended ICU course, he could not eat and required a feeding tube. He had to start a complex daily dialysis care routine. He could not independently communicate, feed, toilet, or walk. He had deep and disfiguring wounds on his hands and painful sores on his heels, as well as significant disability due to immobility, including foot drop and post-stroke paralysis. PAM SL Rehabilitation accepted him with his complicated conditions, and nurtured him to the point that he was able to eat and discontinue his feeding tube. He was provided consistent frequent dialysis even through periods of holidays. The physical, occupational, and speech therapists showed compassion and dedication to his recovery, and he had fond memories of working with staff members including Wesley, Jason, and everyone including the CEO. The Rehabilitation doctors and consultants brought him back from a condition of significant memory loss and inability to communicate, to an independently ambulating physician who is now able to return to performing complex programming tasks which even I am unable to comprehend. The Rehabilitation team demonstrated understanding in tailoring his stroke certified rehabilitation regimen, and extending his training and inpatient stay to help us prepare for his return to home rather than to a skilled nursing facility. The case managers were very helpful with identifying home health and physical therapy resources which enabled him to continue to recover over many weeks. They also helped provide essential medical equipment, such as power wheelchair, shower seat, and exercise equipment, all in a seamless package of recovery after return to home. I attribute my father‘s return to normal cognitive function and near normal physical function to PAM Sugar Land Rehabilitation. We were happy to continue to work with PAM outpatient therapy for many months after a period of home therapy, with miraculous results as he shed one walking aid after another. He is now able to return to many of his previous activities, including reading, complex computer programming, helping out with office tasks such as billing, all after being on the brink of a catastrophic prognosis. He still loves to return to the scenic water view by PAM Sugar Land to enjoy walks where he took his first step outdoors after his coma. My family and I are grateful to PAM Sugar Land Rehabilitation and its staff for restoring my father to independence and better health.

Mrs. Eliza Momin, PT, DPT, I want to first personally thank you for allowing me to speak to you last week. I know your time is precious! Even as I got emotional talking to you then, I am also emotional as I put my thoughts together for this message. I so greatly want to thank you and PAM Health Outpatient Therapy management personnel for the PT and OT staff on board! They are AWESOME! Thank you! Thank you! Please relay my sincere thanks and appreciation to your staff: Breayn, Kylie, James, Ruth, Isaiah, Jaileen, Bina, Rubina, Wesley, Simki and anyone else I may have left off! Everyone I came in contact with were very attentive to my needs. I am now feeling great because of their encouragement, incredible care, personal attention, and professionalism! Even as I followed their instructions and listened to them, they also listened to me as I expressed my thoughts and feelings. During this difficult time in my life, their professional background experiences, their incredible training, and how they challenged and encouraged me do my best has helped me on my healing and growth! I am now mobile (without a walker and/or cane) and have very limited pain! Let me personally acknowledge Breayn, Kylie, James, Ruth, Jaileen, and Wesley. They were each great navigators at encouraging me not to give up as they pushed and pushed me! Please thank them for their empathy and insights to not let my emotions take over. I even appreciate the laughter and personal conversations we shared. Tell them that I thank them so VERY MUCH! Let me not forget to highlight Isaiah, Rubina, Bina, and Simki. There is no way I can not honor them as well! Just seeing how they communicated with patients entering the location and how they carefully took our medical readings was touching! As well, how they kept clean all the tools we used, helped us all know that we were in a safe environment! Thank them for their exceptional care and concern for each patient and their family member, who entered inside the therapy doors! Prayerfully, I have not forgotten anyone. If I did, tell them to please forgive me! Because of PAM, I feel so much more confident and hopeful about my future health! With much gratitude, Gwendolyn Butler

We went to the wrong location and the women upstairs at the receptionist desk was horrendous. Felt discriminated against. Before I even asked for help, she already had a terrible attitude. It's interesting how a person like this is allowed to work around elders. She can not answer 2 simple questions without lashing out at the customer. Sitting there doing absolutely nothing, might as well just fire them. They were not even receptionist but nurses or care givers sitting in the receptionist spot on their phone?? They just let you freely walk in without any questions asked. Not even a care in the world. I did not get her name but she was white caucasian sitting next to a man on September 12 3:00 pm in the photo attached. Just imagine how they treat the elderly here behind close doors if they don't even have enough patience to deal with regular people!! You have elderly people walking around and sitting in their rooms by themselves. Such a cruel and cold hearted place. Please take your parents somewhere else and RUN from this place. MAJOR red flag!! Never ever have I been to a place this disrespectful before I even spoke a single word. McDonald's workers are more professional than this. Don't listen to the fake 5 star reviews written by their staffs!

Five stars is just not enough for kachina A. she deserves 100 stars. She is a team work kind of person and leads in the most dedicated and professional way. I struggled with a misunderstanding and was very frustrated. Kachina took the time to explain to me the situation and turned it all back to a great day. Hands down she deserves any opportunities or raises PAM might have to offer. You can tell she loves her job. She always has a big smile and positive outlook on everything. PAM made a very smart business decision having her on there team. I beg PAM to never over look her and make sure they keep her forever she is the kind of staff you need and will keep your ratings as high as google will allow. Thank you Kachina for all you do and thank you PAM for having wonderful staff.

I would like to also recognize Christina the CEO for her outstanding way of welcoming her patient when they arrive at PAM. She from the moment you meet her is very professional with a twist of making sure you know she cares and if you need something she answers very fast. She has come by daily to check on me along with checking with all her patient daily. PAM also has made a smart business decision having her on there team to over see everyday operations. You can tell her team loves her and I must say she keeps a tight hand around keeping her facility clean. I’ve been to a lot of places and hands down this place makes you feel like your at home and not in a hospital. If I was PAM she would definitely be offered any higher positions in her career with PAM. Thank you Christina for all you do.

I want to thank Selome Tekle for being a very good RN she makes sure my night is as peaceful and relaxing as possible. She checks on me as she should. She always has a smile and is very professional.

I would like to also say karisha Tawanna Monica nick and Chauncei have been wonderful to me as well. Hands down all the staff have been great

I would like to shout Director of plant operations Chris palmar for going out his way and making sure I was comfortable in my room. The light did work he went his way to get me a night light and fan

Therapy I would like to say they are amazing people I would like to give a shout out to Alec,Abid,ANU,Maria, Erica, Billy, Jean, James, Kayla thank you for all you do and your help...
