My wife and I visited Mighty Fine on May 2,2025. Saw some reviews and decided to try it. The business is nestled in downtown Tampa but just out of the way on what looks like a side street. There isn’t much free parking with only 5 spaces in front of the business. We were treated by Ronny Who pretty quickly gave us testers of the on taps we wanted to try. I chose the sin pineapple cider it was pretty good, it was a light crispy citrus/ fruity beer, paired pretty well with my meal. My wife had the apricot wheat beer on tap and I liked it better than the pineapple cider. We both ordered our food and it was about 10 minutes to wait but it looks pretty good upon coming to us. First bite it was very tasty. Second bite I got a taste of the special sauce which was similar to Big Mac sauce just a-little more tangy. Very good burger. I actually loved it. For comparison it was like a steak and shake smash burger just add McDonald’s Big Mac sauce. Everything was great until the bill. $43.00 for 2 burgers and two small taps. I like to budget but I’m not a cheapskate but when it comes to value this place just isn’t it and that’s why I had to give it 4 stars. The burgers don’t come with sides, and while the burgers were very delicious, $43 isn’t justified when you can literally just go downtown get a way better burger from pretty much any fast food establishment and pay less for more food. My wife agreed the burgers were great don’t get us wrong but she was like where’s the fries with this and wasn’t full which it doesn’t take much food as she’s small. But anyway thank you for the food and the drinks. Probably just a one and done for us but if you want a good burger that’s also expensive this is the...
Read moreThe headline in the Tampa Bay Times review of this restaurant and brewery read, “Is this Tampa’s best smashburger?” Chef Nathan Hardin and Late Start Brewery co-founders Jordan Copher and Tyler Sankey are behind the brewery, coffee shop and restaurant, which opened in September on the corner of East Cass and Governor streets. Now, what was once a graffiti-covered building has quickly evolved into one of the downtown area’s most unique all-day spots to drink and dine.
Inside the two-toned bright blue building, mid-century modern meets Old Florida decor with mint green and light pink accents and a dark wood slatted backsplash. Guests line up at the long terrazzo-top bar to place their orders and a selection of tables, both inside and out on the shaded corridor, provide ample space for sitting.
The burgers are outstanding, the Cincinnati chili dog is delish and you don’t want to skip the fried bologna or fried pickles. Be sure to pair it with one of their house-brewed porters.
Parking: Limited spots in front on Cass Street. Better spots on adjacent...
Read moreI recently ordered the Deluxe Boi burger, the new Cuban Fritas burger, two waffle fries, and drinks (Coke and Jarritos) for my son and I. The total came to $52.67—definitely on the pricier side for a burger meal.
That said, the Cuban Fritas burger was absolutely worth every penny. The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, making it an unforgettable experience. The quality of the food was excellent across the board, from the burgers to the crispy, golden waffle fries.
While the cost may give you pause, the premium quality and standout flavors might make it a splurge worth treating yourself to. If you’re willing to spend a little extra, the Cuban Fritas burger is a must-try!
Before my flight, I went back to try the breakfast bacon tacos, and they didn’t disappoint. Two tacos and a Coke cost $26.94. I then waited 45 minutes until 11:30 a.m. when they started serving burgers and ordered the Cuban Fritas Boi with waffle fries for $15.98. Absolutely worth...
