Absolutely phenomenal!!! I haven't stopped gushing about this restaurant for weeks and I'm only updating my review because I was hoping they were open today and I saw that their perfect 5 star review dropped to a 4.7. I loved this restaurant so much, don't let that review by those two rubbish reviews discourage you. Please read full review, I spent a long time writing this trying to convey what a spectacular experience my boyfriend and I had for date night.
Try not to fill up on their superb homemade chips and salsa. I went with my boyfriend and we shared a mixed fajitas dish. Unreal! My boyfriend is full Mexican and spent part of his life living in Mexico and he was blown away by this food and the experience.
It's nice, clean, beautiful restaurant is quiet and just a short walk from the main strip. It's a spectacular date night restaurant. In total, our bill came out to under $30.00 and we were so full that we had to take it to go. They give a great portion of meats, which was quite nice in comparison the disappointing portions of meats given at most restaurants. The decor is absolutely beautiful! Check out the pictures for the beautiful tree they have inside. The service was impeccable, the food came in a timely manner, and the restaurant was immaculately clean. We will absolutely be going back! Definitely a gem. Also, I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by the restroom. I thought it was one single bathroom, but when I entered the door, there were two additional doors for the men's and women's restrooms. When I entered the women's restroom I was blown away by how beautiful and clean it was. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. I don't recall our server's name, but he was incredibly helpful and had a great demeanor.
I hope you give it a chance and have as magnificent an experience as we...
Read moreI was actually looking forward to trying Landeros out as I had seen it on instagram. I wish I had better things to say but I can't, my husband and I didn't get to eat anything Because our orders were simply never taken, not even a drink. we should have took the lack of acknowledgement when we walked in as a foreshadowing of the service we'd receive.. or lack there of. When we first walked in there was no one at the host podium to greet us, the bar tender had to grab someone to seat us. They sat us and we excitedly looked through the menu discussing what we wanted. We were planning on doing appetizers, entrees, drinks and if we had room even dessert. Quite some time had passed and we had yet to be helped by anyone. Multiple waitresses walked by us with out ANY acknowledgment. We made sure to put the menus so that it would be obvious that we were ready to order. It had been so long we had started looking around trying to make eye contact with literally anyone. Eventually a family was seated at the booth behind us, as soon as they sat down a waitress was already there taking their drink orders and discussing menu options. This was when my husband and I decided to just get up at leave. If I could give this business zero stars for the service we DIDNT receive I would. As we walked out what seemed to be the manager on duty tried to ask us what was wrong and we explained we had been waiting 20-25 minutes and didn't even get our drink orders taken yet. I'm sad cause I LOVE old town and I love finding cute new date night spots for my Husband and I but I will never go back as my business clearly wasn't not valued. Save yourself the trip and Spend your money where they value...
Read moreYesterday(2/02/25)afternoon my friend and I both ordered Plato de Birria. The beef was just fine. The beans were a little salty but the rice was awfully salty, oh yes. The rice texture was ok and the beans were runny. It’s disappointing not to find tortillas that are made in-house ( having advertised that this place is authentic). I ordered horchata which was a wash down of evaporated milk and sugar ( in a small glass without an offer for refill, it’s not worth $5). The flan was ordinary, mild flavor, lots of egg whites. The best was the tortilla chips - fresh, excellent quality and the salsa was delicious and freshly made. Overall, I definitely do not consider this place offering an authentic Mexican food. I am very disappointed having driven all the way from Los Angeles only to taste an ordinary food served at any Mexican restaurants after taking my time to carefully choose where we will dine. The...
