EGGS-EMPLARY FOOD! WOW, I loved my Mile High Omelette with green peppers, onion, ham, and cheese. It was light and very satisfying, perfect for brunch. I visited this location for the first time with my Mom and we had a blast. My meal came with wheat toast and a side of fresh fruit. My Mom and I asked for a side order (my favorite part of the meal) of short stack pancakes. The fluffy short stack pancakes (quantity of 2) were topped with banana slices and a bit of butter. Everything tasted great! I love that Broken Yolk has fun glasses for their drinks, my orange juice came in a tall, thin glass with a perfectly sized straw. Overall, the restaurant was tidy and our silverware was ready upon arrival. My only suggestion is that the restroom should be checked more frequently, there was toilet paper on the floor and a mess of water by the sink. The manager was very attentive! Additionally, our waiter was super polite and friendly. Shout out to Josue P., he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great short stack recommendation. I loved the professional staff and service. Broken Yolk is near the freeway and not too far from the Temecula Promenade, it's centrally located.

UPDATE: I’ve come back multiple times since my original post, but this last week’s experience has sent me back to leave a new review. I was excited to bring some coworkers over to try this place, but the whole experience felt embarrassing. Rose, our waitress, was very rude and inattentive. We ordered mimosas before any food and the mimosas came out 20 minutes after the food and having to ask another waitress. Our server didn’t seem to want anything to do with the table, we came pretty close to 2 on a week day so it wasn’t like she was slammed with other tables. Not sure what the deal was with her attitude, but I’ve been planning a large brunch and now I’m debating on coming here. If I do come I’ll be sure to ask to not be seated in Rose’s section. I’m not saying she had to even smile, but she could’ve at least checked on us. We got our food, drinks, & bill from different servers and of course those servers were more friendly than our actual server. This was 2 months ago: Everything was very tasteful. The mimosas were pretty strong. Parking lot is tiny compared to how much business they get, but will definitely be back.

We arrived on a Sunday with 30mins until closing. We got seated quickly. Staff were friendly. Server forgot the mimosa at first and quickly brought it after reminder. Sope Benedict with Mexican Rice: Two extra thick and crispy corn tortillas filled with shredded beef and topped with poached eggs, homemade ranchero sauce, sliced avocado, fresh salsa, cotija cheese and sour cream. It was good. I enjoyed the corn tortillas, ranchero sauce, sliced avocado and fresh salsa. The cotija cheese and sour cream didn’t stand out flavor wise. The cilantro added a good aromatic taste; I am a fan of cilantro. The poached eggs were cold. I like the flavor and texture of the Mexican rice. Overall, I enjoyed the dish. Classic Eggs Benedict with Hash Browns: A toasted English muffin topped with Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce. My friend ordered this and she enjoyed it. Corn beef hash was savory and yummy. It is on the greasy side and that’s where the flavor was it. I will visit again. Good food and good service.

DROPPED FROM 3 TO 2 STARS BECAUSE I HAVE EMAILED THEM AS REQUESTED MULTIPLE TIMES AND IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME CUZ I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE

HORRIBLE ASST. MANAGER KALEIGHMy family and I have always loved this restaurant until Today that is. We arrived at 10:15am this morning to have breakfast and were informed that for a party of 7 it would be about 45-60min wait. Which was just fine with us seeing as it was father's day and we knew it would be busy. We informed them that we were still waiting on a few people so we didn't want to hold anyone else and didn't mind waiting an hour to be seated and that we would let them know when our whole party was there so that others could be accommodated. At this time we also had my disabled father in law who just got out of the hospital with us so for the 1st 30 minutes of the wait we sat in the car with him so that he would not have to deal with the enormous crowd outside. After 30 (10:45) minutes my husband went back in and let them know we were all there whenever they were ready for us. He was then informed that they had already called us and that we would have to be placed back on the waiting list for another 35-45 minutes. This made me furious as they said it was okay to let them know when the whole party was there and that they would seat others ahead of us until then. This is when the not so helpful Assitant manager Kaleigh decided to get into the mix. She began speaking to me like i was a child informing me of "how restaurants work" like it was my 1st time ever being on a waiting list. I informed her of the entire conversation that took place when we checked in and she told me "too bad you'll have to wait" and was a complete B*CH. No compassion seeing my father in law with tubes hanging out of him and all of us waiting patiently and not wanting to inconvi3nece others on this day by taking a table before our whole party was there. After back and forth with her and her refusing to do anything except telling us we could be seated after she sat and then cleared an 18 top because she was now just doing everything in her power to prove a point and make us wait as long as she possibly could I demanded to speak with the GM. The General Manager came out and I explained to her the situation. Thank God she actually appreciated the way we had gone about things and understood why. She then had us seated immediately. Which seemed ironic as Kaleigh stated there were no tables available. I am giving them 3 stars because of the GM but I would advise they get a new assistant manager as Kaleigh has no clue how to deal with the public appropriately and is going to cost them good business in the long run. Phew.... sorry so long. Rant over lol. Food is...

Update - I received a gift card to compensate me for my first experience here. We went back on a weekday about 9:00 a.m. and it was not overcrowded at all. The food was definitely better this time. My husband had juevos rancheros and said it was delicious. I had the churro French toast and it was also very good. And the servings were very large. I raised my rating from 2 stars to 5 for the food. I also raised my rating for all other categories. I will go back again, but probably on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

I think the cook was having a bad day. My granddaughter's churro French toast came without the cream cheese frosting and the whipped cream. My omelette with cheddar cheese and ham was thin and lukewarm. The cheese had already hardened, but the ham was still warm. The home fries are not like all other restaurant home fries with cubed potatoes, onions and peppers. These were thinly sliced potatoes that were greasy and barely cooked (almost all white with only a few brown cooked edges) and no seasoning. My wheat toast was completely burned and I had to ask for new toast. The service was lacking, although the server was friendly. Unfortunately, she only asked me what type of toast I wanted and never mentioned that I could have had a blueberry muffin or another option. I just discovered that while looking at their menu online tonight. The portions were large, but so were the prices. The service was slow. We won't...

Me and my wife come and eat breakfast on sundays when were free together. Never had a problem till today. I checked in to fron desk told them my name , they said 45 to 60 min wait I said ok. So they took my name down and I watched her type it in correctly. So about 30 min go by I hear girl shout out name similar to mine. (Mind you the accents on these girls is heavy) So I go ask did you say me ? She said "No" so go back to waiting. Then she comes back later shouts shorter version of my name. So I go ask is this me ? My name just short version. She say "No not you" so go back to waiting. Wife sees couple that got their after us get called. So I go check again ! Hey where am I in line. Told them my name and lady says "we already called you. " the short version name. I said it in front of both ladies I told you my name asked if you meant me. And I got a firm "No" not you. Of course she apologizes says o our mistake then makes us wait a bit longer then finally seats us. Lady apologies and ask me if u want complimentary drink . I said "No" so she asks my wife same question. My wife says yes! Coffee. So I said better then nothing for our time and mistake. So long story short. Check came and not 1 item was taken off charge. So all that and they couldn't even make it right somehow. If I wouldn't of went up 3 times and checked we still would be waiting. Good food will be back. Just...
