After a hard day of work and being very hungry and after going by my local store to get a few snacks for tomorrow I decided to go and have myself if I would eat I happen to come across a small little side place off of Mill Avenue in Tempe Arizona known as Ike's ASU. When I went in, and only after studying the menu and the cool atmosphere along with the wooden tables and very high ceilings , the cozy little place is fantastic for a gathering with close friends or catering for game night. Though semi crowded, I found it a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal. I decided to have the Reuben sandwich the number 91, which had a heart next to it, and since I hadn't had a classical Ruben sandwich in so long well I just had to have it... I was not disappointed!!!! I also bought the Calypso, which they sell and have on hand with a large variety of flavors... I chose the pineapple and lime, juice and a couple that with a potato chip called voodoo key New Orleans style from Zapps which was all compliment with their house sauce, which basicallyĀ  a garlic aioli with a fantastic twist of tanginess I hope to someday discover. Once I bit into sandwich, I was delighted to know that it was juicy and tasty and all your house front toasted to perfection they serve this whole meal with a sucker a group sucker which to my surprise was just a nice little added treat mov ing so it was a juicy smoke d corned bean topped off with special sauce and a red cabbage which is not your typical Ruben sandwich. The combinations flavors knocked me off my feet for taste flavor and everything you could want after a hard day of moving equipment around the yard.. that being said our lighting by everything I try here I encourage everyone who visits our fine town of Tempe Arizona, whether you are an ASU student or just happening to come across town for a game to stop by this little hole in the wall shop, which took me back in time to simpler times, to head just North of Seventh Street on Mill Avenue before the ASU Mountain on the right and tucked away behind the Bank of AmericaĀ  to come have a taste. After sampling the Calypso pineapple limeade they were surprisingly sweet and very refreshing which drove the dust of the day to rest. The New Orleans style kettle chips through the heat was just enough to touch the back of my throat coupled with the the sauce that they served for stops what a convenience labors and taste I like any sauce to a classic garlic aioli or just touching heat to it which gave it up its own unique flavor. Enjoy your meal šŸ˜‹šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹ Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

warning: eating an ike's sandwich may change your life. this review was co-written by two people, so you should give its weight double that of a normal review. we came on a monday (4/3) around 12:30pm, and upon walccing in to the restaurant, the cashier was already ready to take our orders and had the patience of an angel as we made our decisions (once we walcced in, lines started forming, though). after some deliberation, we decided upon the Pee Wee and the Baccstabber, as well as onion rings and a soft drincc. as of writing this, they still have Sierra Mist in stocc, so to all those who miss it, this is one of the last remaining locations to carry it. get it while you have the chance. as for the sandwiches, despite its potentially humorous name, Pee Wee (from the extensive vegetarian menu) managed to subvert expectations and rise above its dual-breaded peers. or should i say... Peer Weers. the added bell peppers brought an element of flare to the dish. the Baccstabber, while less bright, glew amidst the abyssal world in which we live as well. also, i thincc the staff are telepaths because they gave me ranch when i didn't ascc for it, and i. love. ranch. while Ike's Love and Sandwiches has the ability to defy expectations; unfortunately, the same goes for the expectation that onion rings are all fantastic. these (pictured below, the only food that remained for us to take a picture of once we started writing a review) were a bit on the flavorless and soft side: onion ring lovers beware. also, the place was a tad loud, so that gave it four stars for atmosphere. including tips, pricing was abt $13 for the Pee Wee and about $22 for the Baccstabber, onion rings, and a drincc. about as pricey as you'd expect nowadays. but delicious. worth the walcc from, say, the MU subway to here. all in all, the stop was a success. far superior in taste to other sandwich shops and plenty filling :) hope your experience here is as good as ours was, and a big thancc you to the staff for bringing light to our days also, caramel apple lollipops? hello? obsessed.

When the Ike's by ASU first opened, I was a pretty picky eater. Shortly after graduating from high school, I became less picky about my eating habits. When I started at ASU back in 2014, I discovered Ike's as I was exploring Mill Avenue. Since then, Ike's has been among my favorite places for sandwiches. Although it is no longer on the menu, my favorite sandwich is the Steph Curry One, which features turkey, provolone cheese, and yellow BBQ sauce. I found out that even if something is not on the menu, they can still make it for you if you remember the combination. Some other sandwiches I like are the Hunter Pence and the Steve Nash. The service is friendly, and they are more than happy to offer suggestions on what sandwich to choose, as they have an excellent selection of sandwiches. I also like the atmosphere. It is nice and colorful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your food. Ike's is also a great place to go if you need to eat on the run. Once, I had to take my sandwich to go. Upon ordering it, they had it ready with plenty of time to spare. I also like that they have a rewards program. I highly recommend Ike's Love and Sandwiches to anyone who is looking for a great sandwich on Mill Avenue.
