I came here with friends and was embarrassed. I went on and on how I liked this place a lot. We received terrible customer service and their food is expensive for non-smokers. Unfortunately, they lost my business.
First, when we arrived we wanted to sit on couches. They had a table for enough seats for me and my friends, but it had a reserved sign on it. The reserved sign shouldn't have been there if it wasn't reserved. Sadly, another table took one of the couches and one of my friends was uncomfortable the entire night as her chair was higher than our couches.
Then, we asked one of the waitresses to close the door as it was cold. She said it should be fine, but she'll go ask the owners. Never came back, and when we asked again she said yes. MY FRIEND had to get up and close the door. Not a huge deal, but still disrespectful as she walked away.
Next, I told my friends their avocado toast was excellent because when I first came here I tried it. When it came out we got old and cold looking avocado toast and it was not on their usual sourdough bread. We were told it was mixed with balsamic vinaigrette/glaze. The first time I had it here it was drizzled on top, like most places. Avocado toast is done a certain way and we know this because we eat it all the time. We informed our waitress about this and she offered to ask the kitchen to remake it. The two orders took 20 minutes to remake because other customers' orders. When it came back she said they removed the glaze all together. We basically paid $16 for cold toast with mashed avocado and chips. RIDICULOUS. On top of this, because we complained about the toast, our waitress NEVER returned to over table to ask if we needed anything or how's the remade toast now. To make matters even more unprofessional, when I was paying the bill, she looked directly at the tablet screen while it asked me to select a tip amount. NOTE: Muse adds 18% tip already to all bills. I thought this was rude and being a waitress she should know better.
Overall, we have a terrible experience. We ended up paying $62 for nachos, avocado toasts, and teas. I don't know what happened to the quality of this place, but sadly no one from my group will...
Read moreThis place is amazing for Hookah smokers!!! Been going there since they opened always superb service from the staff. Never have had any complaint, but we went again last night, and were shocked when we went this time. Once again Muse went above and beyond my expectations, even though they were full and super busy due to the Superbowl, I cant believe the quick response and amazing service and efficient handling being done by staff even when they were so busy that night, they exceeded my expectations just like they always do.
To start, we called before hand and asked for a reservation for our table an even on a busy night they honored it for us and saved a space and had a reserved spot saved and kept for us. It is amazing that a restaurant gives so much importance to customers that even on a night as busy as the Superbowl night they honored our table for us!
Then on top of that, there was not a moment I had to ever look for a server they were so swift and always coming back the table and checking up on us to make sure we were ok and always asking if we needed anything else there was never a point especially on such a busy night we weren’t being taken care of.
They even went out of our way and we asked the lounge if they could open the door for us because it was a little hot because of how busy they were (with all the bodies being in one area, due to the Superbowl watch party), and they even opened the door for us! Isn’t that amazing! Eventually they had to close it because another table complained they were getting cold but that’s ok!
To put the icing on the cake, the food here is always so good and prepared so well! They have a huge variety of options to choose from for food they even have non-dairy milk options for beverages!
The price and experience of this place is worth every penny! Money well spent! On top of all that, we were a party of 6+ and they didn’t even add gratuity on our tab, when does that ever happen? A place...
Read moreWe came in last night for the first time since the remodel and it is very impressive. They have done a great job with the revamped style making it feel more welcoming and modern even more than before. It would great to see them make a similar effort for the outside tables area as well! Our servers were Alexa and Shakeil and they were both very friendly and responsive. We started off with the Forbidden Fruit hookah in the exclusive with a milk base, and it was excellent. Lasted a long time too! We also got their smoothies (taro and mango), both were tasty. We then decided to try another flavor and got one of the 'tangiers' flavors that cost a premium, Kashmiri Peach, but that was an overall disappointment. The flavor and the smoke was extremely light. When we brought it to Alexa's attention, she tested it and felt the same so she took it back and brought us a new bowl of flavor mix which was ok, but not worth the extra charge for these special flavors. Overall love the vibe, but one thing I fond just confusing is why are the staff not given a description of each hookah flavor so they can be informed about the products being sold. This is not the only hookah lounge that I have noticed this in, but seems like having them informed so they can be helpful guides to choose flavors would just be a big plus point to put Muse above the competition.
Update: Just came in tonight on my visit to Houston and our server Amir was excellent. Very courteous and attentive to our needs and was a great host for our evening. We enjoyed the turkish coffee and tried 2 different hookah flavors of Aloha Mango, and then Kashmiri Peach with ice tip and ice base. I had a great time and looking forward to visiting again next time...
