Culinary Delight at Hyderabad Wala

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hyderabad Wala Restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience that left my taste buds dancing with delight. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and inviting aromas set the stage for an exceptional culinary journey.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the NALLI GOSHT Biryani, a masterpiece that transported me straight to the vibrant streets of Hyderabad. The fragrant basmati rice, perfectly cooked with succulent pieces of tender lamb shank, created a symphony of flavors that I won't soon forget. Each bite was a burst of aromatic spices, and the generous serving ensured that I left with a satisfied palate.

The Pressure Cooker Pulao was another revelation, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors and traditional cooking methods. The rice was infused with spices, and the medley of vegetables provided a delightful contrast in texture. It was a comforting and hearty dish that showcased the chef's culinary finesse.

In conclusion, Hyderabad Wala Restaurant exceeded my expectations, offering a gastronomic journey through the rich culinary heritage of Hyderabad. The NALLI GOSHT Biryani, Mutton Chops, Pressure Cooker Pulao, Murg Musalam and green chile chicken were not just dishes; they were culinary masterpieces that showcased the restaurant's commitment to excellence. If you're a connoisseur of authentic Hyderabadi cuisine, Hyderabad Wala is a must-visit destination where every bite tells a...

Except the cleaning lady, I don't think anyone here cares about service. We ordered a tandoori platter and Goat Dum Biriyani. A boy comes and asks after 40 mins, if we need platter first or biriyani first. I responded something is better than nothing, He got the Biriyani and the food was cold and we asked why it was so cold, they said, they can get extra rice which is hot. And we got bowl of extra rice. Which is not biriyani. And then we finished having biriyani, and the platter was not yet served, I asked the girl to cancel it and she got someone from inside the kitchen and he started saying that it's their usual time to serve and can not cancel and started saying sorry. And now its the Desert time, they did not serve the desert, they did not serve the Drink that we ordered- sprite but the girl was keen to make us pay ASAP. These were college kids and we were not able to say anything to them. The desert was named Mulberry and all I found in it Rasberry pieces with custard. All I had is cold biriyani and 2 thumssup and payed extra for sprite and platter - we told the girl to remove it from the bill but she didn't care to remove it even if it was not served. All I want to say is when we go to eat at restaurant, we want to have a nice experience not an unpleasant one. The manager or owner whoever is accountable must have their brains checked out to provide such kind of unpleasant experience to customers. At the end of the day, am paying for the shitty experience that you...

Nestled in the heart of the city, Hyderabad Wala promises an authentic culinary experience, steeped in the rich flavors of Hyderabad. Upon my recent visit, I embarked on a delightful gastronomic journey, sampling an array of dishes that tantalized my taste buds.

To kickstart the feast, I indulged in the Tandoori platter, a symphony of succulent kebabs and grilled delights. While it delivered a decent flavor, it left me craving for a bit more depth in its seasoning. However, the Apollo fish, with its crispy exterior and tender, flaky interior, emerged as a highlight, boasting a perfect balance of spices that danced on the palate.

Moving on to the main course, the Nalli Ghosh Biryani stole the show with its aromatic blend of spices and tender meat that melted in the mouth. Each grain of rice was infused with the essence of the flavorful broth, creating a harmonious medley of tastes. However, there is certainly room for improvement to elevate it to perfection.

At Hyderabad Wala, the vibe is cozy and welcoming, almost like stepping into the lively streets of Hyderabad. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile to make sure your dining experience is smooth sailing. In summary, Hyderabad Wala offers a laid-back dining experience with a variety of dishes showcasing Hyderabad's culinary flair. While there's plenty of potential, especially in improving the overall dining experience, the flavorful journey through their menu is sure to leave a mark on...

Update: I ordered to go today and it wasn't as amazing as last week, sadly, so I knocked off a star. The paneer biryiani rice was quite watery instead of dry. The chicken tikka masala was decent. I confirmed that curries come with rice, but when I got home, I saw I had received none. The biryiani was a separate dish, so it shouldn't have been in place of the rice. My friend and I had lunch here a few days ago and we loved it. I've finally found my new Indian food spot! We ordered the samosas, paneer butter masala and malai kofta. The koftas were airy and melted in your mouth, not dense and chewy like I've had before. The gravy was very smooth and the spices were on point for both curries. The gentleman serving us (possibly owner?) offered us complimentary chai with our meals. It was also excellent. The server/owner? spoke with us during our meal. I could have used less of that tbh, but he was very kind and genuinely wanted feedback. He's read the negative reviews and made changes. He told us they source finer quality spices directly imported from India, which is evident in their dishes! He mentioned they are revamping and in the process of changing their name to Hyderabad Wala. All in all, if you're in The Colony/Frisco/N. Carrollton/Grandscape area looking for some great Indian food nearby, give this place a chance! Prices are comparable to other Indian restaurants and the curries come with rice.

A glaring problem with this place is hygiene and cleanliness. Look, the special chicken dum biryani is good. It's 80% there in terms of flavor but what could have been a good outing left us feeling uneasy. They don't clean the tables unless you ask them. Shockingly, the same cloth used for cleaning tables was being used to dry the utensils. The floor is dirty. There were flies at the table and insects crawling on the floor. Our glasses were being handled with fingers on the inside. Restaurant owners must understand that they need to invest in sanitation, pest control and upkeep of their restaurants. Not only is it a big turn off for customers but a health hazard. You may think getting to-go avoids this problem but imagine: if the dining area is not clean, how clean would the behind-the-door kitchen would be? The service blew hot and cold. One server was okay while the other totally out of it. The person who brought our food didn't realize there weren't any plates or utensils on the table ... and nonchalantly went to take the order of another table. I went here on someone's recommendation but while the taste and portions were satisfactory, I will not be getting any food from here unless they seriously improve the cleanliness and staff training.
