We first visited Manee Thai’s Frisco location more than a year ago for lunches and dinners and have been hooked ever since. Tina and Jet - right from the beginning - have been welcoming and treat you like Family every time you walk in. The dining space is modern, inviting, and has a vibrant burst of energy. So imagine my excitement when I saw another Location across the highway that had recently opened closer to me.

The Colony location of Manee Thai is the old Silver Thai Restaurant. The Food and the Service is outstanding and the Ambiance is delightfully different. It’s a different, more traditional vibe. On our most recent visit, Mom ordered the Massaman Curry with Rice and I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. On our last three visits to The Colony location, we have ordered the Fried Tofu, Vegetable Summer Roll, Panang Curry, Kao Na Ped, Chicken Pad Thai, and Tofu Pad Thai. All excellent and flavorful. Made from scratch utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients.

This is our go-to place for Thai. Non-negotiable. I have even brought my BFF here twice already because she loves the Peanut Sauce here (as do I) and the Chicken Satay.

Manee Thai’s new location in The Colony is an absolute standout — hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had!

We started with the papaya salad and spicy raw shrimp — both dishes were packed with bold, authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The shrimp had just the right amount of heat, and the salad was fresh, tangy, and vibrant. We also tried the Mok Pa, a traditional Lao-style baked fish dish that was absolutely delicious — tender, fragrant, and full of flavor.

For our mains, we ordered the red curry pumpkin, spicy basil leaves beef rib, pad Thai omelette, and roasted duck curry — and every single dish was exceptional. The beef rib was incredibly tender, falling right off the bone. The curries were rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, while the pad Thai omelette was uniquely delicious and comforting.

On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Reddy and Karthik took excellent care of us — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable throughout the meal.

We ended up at Manee Thai in The Colony after scrolling through a list of Indian restaurants that didn’t quite appeal to us. Although we weren’t immediately sold when we arrived—especially since it was a Saturday evening and the place wasn’t very busy—we decided to give it a shot.

The waiter recommended a few items from the menu, but I went with my gut and ordered the green curry. My wife chose the Spicy Basil Leaves Beef Ribs. When the dishes arrived, they smelled amazing—and they tasted just as good. The green curry was hands down the best I’ve had from any Thai restaurant in the DFW area. My wife’s dish was equally delicious.

The lady who served us was warm and attentive, checking on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere felt like visiting a relative’s house—casual, cozy, and comforting, like your auntie cooking you something special.

The portion sizes were generous, so we ended up taking leftovers home. We’re already planning our next visit to try more items...
