The wife and I decided to eat at this place on Saturday Night. We have been there a few times before, but it had been a while. I have always enjoyed the food, but I find it a tad on the pricey side for what you get. Anyway, we went in, and they have changed things up a bit and I have to say it was for the worse for us. They used to have a walk-up order counter, and you read the menu. Most people want to customize their bowl. The old menu was set up like 1) Choose your base, 2) Choose your Protein, 3) Choose your toppings, 4) Choose your Sauce. It was self-explanatory. They also had signature bowls, and other items but they were displayed separately. Now they have three touchscreen kiosks. Only two of the three worked and none of them printed a receipt. The way the menu comes up on them is nothing like the way the menu is shown on their website. My wife and I prefer Brown Rice, and she likes her egg cooked well done. Somehow, we could not figure out after three tries at it how to get what we wanted, and when we thought we had it the second time the bill was $50.00 for two of us. I knew that was not right. We just ended up ordering signature bowls. She ordered the Bulgogi Beef Bowl, and I ordered BBQ Chicken. She got an egg that was not well done, and I got white rice. The bill was $28.00 with no drinks other than water. We ate and left. I noticed that the tables and floor were not clean as I remember last. Overall, I used to give them a solid 4.5 stars where I could, but they have fallen to 4 stars. The Kiosk may be all right for some, but it is not our cup of tea. We did not get what we wanted, and it was too confusing. Sometimes progress is in the wrong direction. Not a...

Honestly, I just walked in on a whim to try something different. My first impression (and the several other people that were trying to place an order) is that it was an incredibly confusing and inefficient ordering process.

You have to order your food on a tablet screen in a kiosk. None of the options for the dishes and add-ons made sense. It wasn't clear how many items you could select, and it wouldn't let me properly select the add-ons I wanted. After fumbling with that for a few minutes,I gave up trying to build a bowl and just decided to order the spicy pork bowl.

You get a table number, grab your own drink and utensils, and wait for the food to come out. First of all, it was freaking cold inside in the middle of summer. It was very uncomfortable trying to sit and eat with the AC pumping like that.

Then the girl comes out, no smile, no greeting, no offering to help get us anything. She just said, "Number 37?" and dropped my bowl in front of me.

So let me get this straight? You guilt people into tipping your staff minimum 20% tip on the ordering screen, BEFORE you receive any service. Then, ALL the staff is huddled up in the kitchen quite literally doing nothing and watching everyone struggling to order. So we get to do everything, and the owner has the nerve to request tipping?

Not only that, it was just a strange, cold way to be served as a customer. No human interaction at all.

Overall, I enjoyed my food and that was the only saving grace. However, it was way overpriced in my opinion for such bad service.

I wouldn't recommend this...

I don’t know if it’s a change of management but something has changed in the New Year that’s made this place awful. I use to eat here once a week since September but will not be coming back.

First issue- I walk in to see a worker in the kitchen, gloves on blowing her nose. I don’t think anything of it until she proceeds to leave the gloves on and start handling food. I quietly let the other staff know that she should change her gloves but they continued to let her handle food. That’s disgusting.

Menu has been decimated and they no longer offer ANY of the things they used to. I was big on the Chicken Katsu Dosirak and wings. Both have been removed amongst a host of other items.

I decided not to order after witnessing the glove thing but before I left 2 customers came up complaining their food was cold/undercooked.

Very disappointed…this was my go-to when I wanted to eat out, but in one visit everything good like variety, flavor and cleanliness has gone out the window.

Note to management: If operations have been switched, and this is the reason for these changes, please note the area you’re serving. You might want to go back to the old ways. There are a plethora of options in the area that people are willing to patron and the changes to this location have assured patrons will pick those other options over...

Use to come here a couple times along with the other chain locations but man this latest trip was a disappointment. They only offer scrambled eggs instead of all the other egg options, the zucchini I'm pretty sure is replaced by raw cucumber, they suddenly have onions as a topping, and the spicy pork option lacked any sort of flavor. Not to mention they got rid of the spicy bugolgi. The bowl was only halfway filled too with barely enough rice given the dish is supposed to be a literal rice bowl. Definitely feels like they are trying to appeal more to the locals here but I wanted my traditional bibimbap, because that's what makes it good in the first place. The floors here were sticky too and we only came in for like 15 minutes to grab take out. Hoping the other locations did not make these latest change, and stuck to their roots.

🔥 Burning Rice has food that's very nice! Burning Rice is unique in your food is made there on the spot and you can have your food in a regular bowl or a stone bowl. I chose the option of the stone bowl. The bowl kept the food very hot throughout my entire meal. Hot as in it was still the same temperature as when it was first brought out 15 minutes ago. The stone bowl keeps the food constantly cooking, and if you are not careful in constantly stirring the food, some of the Rice can get burnt. The stone bowl is a good size and snapped a photo of how deep the bowl is and how plentiful the food is in the bowl. The food was delicious and the menu allows you choose the meats, vegetables and even the type of rice you want I'm your bowl/meal. I highly recommend going there if you have never been to Burning Rice.

Updated: My wife & I decided to pick up dinner. I walked in a place with signage on how to self order your food. This is a great idea if you know what you are ordering and have a credit card in hand. But , if you have questions about the menu or have cash, you can pay at the register. It took me about 10 minutes to order a dish for my wife, whom I had on the phone. She was arguing about what was on the online menu to what I was able to see on the kiosk. Note: If you make changes to a menu, please change the online one as well. 🫣 While waiting: the restaurant was clean & inviting. The soft music playing in the background made me relax 😌 At home to indulge: My wife & I enjoyed our beef bulgogi bowl with everything. Well.. The bowl had plenty of veggies, favor, and sauce. It's a delightful bowl of food 😎
