Bonchon Colony — Restaurant in The Colony

Love the food, we use to come in all the time. Brought in my three year old daughter today to one of our favorite restaurants. For whatever reason the employee running the cash register screwed up and only ran my card for 1/2 the amount that was owed. She waited 15 minutes to let us know this and I didn't really understand what was happening until the manager came out and told us that we still owed on the balance. At this point I asked to pay the difference and he tried to for some reason tell me it was my fault that they had charged my card wrong. I then asked if they had even started our food, they hadn't. At this point I had been standing there for awhile trying to pay again so I could feed my daughter and the manager kept going on so I said "man I don't care why your employee f'ed up just take my money so I can feed my kid". This is when things got really weird... apparently I'm not allowed to cuss and be annoyed when I'm being mistreated for something I have nothing to do with and because the supposed "GM" lacks a basic understanding of freedom of speech, he chose to refuse to run my card and started to belittle me. I finally just asked for a refund, which he seemed to have a hard time figuring out how to do as well.... As I was leaving he chose to tell me about how "good of an example I was setting for my daughter"... at one point in the conversation I told him I came there all the time and his response was "good for you".. it's unfortunate that he has zero customer service skills. I really did enjoy this place it's not been the same since they...

The service here was horrible. I ordered pickup and the guy said it'll be ready in ten minutes. I arrive fifteen minutes later and it's not ready, five minutes after that and it's still not ready. I ask what was going on and the worker says they cook the food after the call and when I arrive they deep fry it again and brush on the sauce. I ask why don't they just give me the actual time it'll be finished and he has the audacity to say "so your food doesn't get cold. You wouldn't want your chicken to get cold would you?"

If i arrive the exact time they tell me to, how in Gods name would my chicken be cold? If they tell me 30 minutes and I arrive 30 minutes later, why would my chicken be cold? But this cashier was adamant that he was right and I didn't want to waste time arguing with someone with a lack of comprehension.

I call back later and ask to speak to a manager and to hear her explanation and I can hear her in the background muttering something and a second later the worker asks my name and reason for calling as the manager is "busy". Poor customer service all around. Try Rice Chicken instead, their customer service is infinitely better and so is their fried chicken. Extremely disappointed with my experience but honestly, not too surprised based on the type of people that run these ethnic restaurants as they've never heard of customer service and money is the only thing on their minds. only 1/5 and not 0/5 because their overpriced fried...

Words cannot not express how wonderful this place is. Well, I was in search for a place so that i could have for a few of our friends to meet at for my wife pre birthday surprise birthday celebration. I was on Groupon and ran across Bonchon Korea’ Fried Chicken. So therefore I called and spoke with Allen, in reference to reserve a few tables, and he explained at this point that they do not accept reservations, but he took my name and number and the date and about how many quests.

Well, on Saturday 08.18.2018, the birthday was there seated and having a wonderful time. We arrived about 8:45 with the birthday lady blindfolded , once we walked in the door the entire restaurant shouted our Happy Birthday, to my wife surprise and mines to, this moment was epic.

The wait staff was awesome, the food and beverages was on point, making this entire gathering a real enjoyable one. To top it off the quests were all so over joyed with the wonderful time we had.

This a spectular place to entertain. There is not enough stars for me to rate them on here.

Just want to say thanks to the management and staff and all those that attended to us that evening. You helped me to make my wife to have an unforgettable evening.
