One of our favorite date night locations. Always have excellent service and very friendly staff while dinning IN. The food is fantastic! Great drinks too. We love sitting at the sushi bar! Always yummy new, fresh goodies!
Edit: I just did a to-go order. Their phones are not working. I have been calling for 30 to 45 minutes. I place an order to go in person and now wait. I was given a receipt without the breakdown of what I was charged for. I shouldn't have to ask for that.
Then I was nickel and dimed for extra yum yum sauce. They gave me a quarter of what they normally serve in the restaurant in my to go order and then charged me a dollar for extra. My bag was stapled shut. Now I know why. After I opened it I realized they gave me two very tiny small to go containers of yum yum sauce and then charged me a dollar on top of that. What? For what? I explained that the yum yum sauce that is given to us when we dine in is four times that size and that they'll have to give me more. Or learn to get bigger to go containers. Not cool. And I tipped on top of that when it was a to go order. It's not me, trust me. Management, please do better.
Also please fix your broken glass door that's on the inside, closest to the check out. It's been broken for forever and the fire department would be having a fit if they knew that. It's against code. 👍
Edit #2: after placing an online order to be delivered, my order was missing items that I paid for. I paid a convenience fee, I paid a delivery fee and I paid a tip to the driver just so my husband can come up there and get our food. Seriously?!? Then the manager shoved me off to deal with any refunds thru the Menufy website. Classy.
"Taylar's" suggestion was to get free items in the future when I dine in. She'll just write my name down. She's the one responsible for messing up my order. Guess it interrupted her playing on her cell phone. I'd like what I'd pay for now, hunnie. Thanks. 🤦 Her snotty attitude while speaking to a manager about the situation is the nail in the coffin for me. I'm not interested in arguing with a teenage girl. Other bad reviews have her in it too. Common denominator much? We will never patron your business again. If she is related to the owners in any way, please release her of her duties. She's hurting your business tremendously. Happily taking my business...

I couldn't decide if I was going to give Sake sushi The Colony 3 or 4 stars I am on the fence about both ratings. Since COVID we haven't had sushi close to 7 months. I have been wanting to give Sake Sushi in The Colony a try for a while. It is so hard to find good Yakisoba in dfw and there is only 2 places I have found to have the best. Sake Sushi The Colony and in Mansfield, TX which is about 30 mins away from The Colony. The chicken fried rice was good but not great, the sushi was good but still missing that mark of giving them a 5 star rating. Those of you who are not from Texas DFW are or just moved to Texas. DFW has the 2nd largest Asian community's in the US with amazing food, markets and hard to find items that the average store just doesnt have. I have had great Asian food and when I am trying new restaurants in the Dallas/Fort Worth area I am expecting amazing giving all the experience with Asian food I have had. Maybe I will try Sake Sushi The Colony again? I don't know since there is so many amazing Asian restaurants to choose from in the dfw area.
As I said I would do I gave Sake The Colony, TX for the 2nd time and again the food fell short to the Asian food I am so used to in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The bill was well over 50.00 and for that I am expecting great food and it just was not. The chicken fried rice was greasy, it had just a few flakes of egg in the rice which the egg is fried rice make the dish taste how it should. The Yaki Soba was ok not great and the disappointment of them all was the beef Ramen. The broth was not bad but I felt like the broth was missing some thing. The beef. No and I will the worst I have tasted in an Asian dish. I could not eat the beef. It was so chewy and fat that I could not eat any of it. The ramen noodles. Not any better then what you find at the store. Again Dallas/Fort Worth has been now rated the 2nd largest Asian Community in the US meaning the Asian food here is amazing and a lot to choose from. What a waste of...
Read moreI usually always have a great experience but on Saturday 4/5 it was as pleasant. 1st incident that raised an elbow, chef dropped rice/vegetable circle plate. Instead of him placing it to the side he placed it on top of the vegetables on the cart. He was literally turning on grill and about to start going over orders. Once I brought it to his attention he then said no problem I’m going to get fresh vegetables. To make customers feel safe he should’ve left that plate and brought back new ones but instead he took that one to the back and allegedly brought new veggies. 2nd incident is I’m allergic to shellfish and server and chef verified that. After cooking steak and chicken I noticed he never placed salmon on grill. I then informed him again that I was allergic and he stated yes we keep all seafood separate. I then stated I have salmon which isn’t shellfish or you going to cook it before you start the seafood. He stated yes and pulled the tray up which had all seafood on the same platter the salmon. We went back and to him only suggesting my salmon could bd cooked in the back which I explained it doesn’t have the same taste. After him getting rude and I tried not to cause a scene in front of other guest he stated he has other tables and proceeded to cook. I then got manager and she was very nice and suggested free drinks which I declined but I stated to her I informed chef before he cooked seafood so my salmon could be cooked on grill. I overly explained I’ve had it cooked in the back before and I don’t like the taste. As she explained she would keep an eye out and insure no seafood is in site it came and was disgusting as I stated. As a customer if should have been offered to cook on the grill after bring cleaned which chef made a big deal about or on another grill before seafood was added. My...
