Shannon's Ice Cream — Restaurant in The Dalles

Outstanding, just outstanding!! All ice cream is not the same. The ice cream at Shannon's is amazing and most of it is handmade by Shannon and her staff (these are your best options IMO).

I got the crepe this time and I'm telling you it was out of this world!! Stuffed with whatever you want on the inside with ice cream on top. Mine had almond pistachio topping it which was truly one of the best ice creams I've had! Oh my, what a treat that was!

They have plenty of amazing non-dairy options and lots of other tasty treats as well.

Shannon and her staff are wonderful hosts and you will undoubtedly have a great time here. I highly recommend this if you like premium awesome ice...

I'm an ice cream lover, and this establishment has by far the best homemade ice cream I've ever tasted. The smell of homemade waffle cones will tempt you when you walk inside. I'm not generally a waffle cone person, but I couldn't resist the smell. And I'm so glad I did! The cone was made in front of me, served warm. It tasted so buttery, with an appealing slight chew. I got a scoop of Apple Caramel Crumble (delectable!) and scoop of Chocolate Hazelnut (decadent!).

John and Shannon make the tastiest ice cream, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit after a 9 hour drive from the Sawtooths. The house made Chocolate Hazelnut was amazing and I will definitely have their Rhubarb Crumble next time. Their making goes far beyond ice cream... Be sure to check out Shannon's Photoshop pieces and interior/exterior design from lighting to the beautiful awning.
