If I could give zero stars I would. I have NEVER been to such a disorganized chaotic restaurant… and I managed Waffle Houses in Atlanta. First, we had about 40 minutes of a wait for 4 people but so many tables were open… okay so I thought maybe they’re short staffed. Brushed it off and enjoyed conversation with friends. So we sit down and Keelie is our server. She comes up and asks for drinks, they come out quickly. Said that she would give us a minute and then come back. She then went 3 feet over to the bar and got on her cell phone. We sat directly beside the server station and the bar. After 10 minutes of us staring at her and her looking back to us, she finally came over. We ordered apps- fried pickles and onion rings, and then asked about bread. She said it’s in the oven but she will bring some out. Then she went behind the bar to help the guy makes some drinks. Apps come out about 10 mins later, they were okay. She asked our order, we placed it, and then ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN minutes later they come out. We had two surf and turfs, a mushroom Swiss burger, and a steak. We wanted to enjoy adult beverages but she never came back to the table until after the food was out… another group of servers brought the dinners. Instead she was helping the bar or being on her phone. The burger came back cold and the bottom bun was so greasy it was grey and falling apart with mush. The “surf” crab cakes were fried like a puck and cold. The steak (by itself) took 15 mins to get their side (fries) and only after we asked about them again. One surf and turf never got their loaded mashed potatoes and the other one’s baked potato was so scorched on the bottom it was inedible. Oh… AND THE BREAD NEVER CAME. We asked for the check to be in two- one with surf and turf and the steak the other with surf and turf and the burger. They took off the burger completely since no bite was taken. Didn’t wanna wait on anything else. The other check asked for the upgraded side to be taken off, 5 mins later she comes back with just a duplicate check of the same thing with the side still on it. Oh, but they did half the check.. sorry but that should have had an apology or I don’t know maybe a manager should have come and spoke. But nothing, no remorse, just something to pacify the customer. On top of the horrible service and disgusting food, there was a server with a black and pink fohawk that screamed at someone from the server station “I don’t know what you want me to do!” And then talk very badly with another server about someone… like come on there’s less than 2 feet from the server’s station to the booth we were at. Read moreI normally do not blast businesses on my reviews, because something can always be fixed or explained. But this Logan's is in a desperate need for new management. I did not look at reviews before going, because it is a Logan's, but I should have sought the reviews of fellow traveler's before going here. You can see the review meter is not a a gradually sweep inward to the left, but a straight line between the 5 selections. Trust it. Blondie and I seated and asked for water and a cup of ice, took about 15 minutes for that to arrive. We then ordered drinks, about a 20 minute wait. We order food, a different waitress brought out food before the salad even arrived. It did not look like our order because there was no shrimp, so she took it back. Then nothing for about 25 minutes. Then our waitress came back and said our food was cooking and would be out soon and this was our first request for a manager. A long time later our food came again, the same plate they tried to serve the first time and still no shrimp. We tasted the food, the steak was dry and fries cold. We explained to our waitress of same plate and no shrimp and she said shrimp is coming. A little later she came back and we sent food back, and another request for management. Then some time later the shrimp shows up. Blondie leaves the table and goes to hostess stand to see a manager. She is there a while, with no visit from manager and while I am sitting with nothing at table I walk up to see if she has made headway. She hasn't, I am tired of the service and go to car, but Blondie wants to speak to a manager to correct everything and pay our share of a horrible experience and food. 15 minutes later she walks out and says let's go, and I say did she comp everything or what. She informs no manager ever showed and that we are leaving on what should have been an enjoyable evening for us. You know on the road, no kids, no dogs, no in-laws. I for the first time walked out on a meal without any resolution. I will go back to tomorrow to see if I can resolve our part of the equitation. Read moreWe actually planned to eat at another restaurant, but my family confused the two and accidentally come to Logan's instead. After arriving, I was pretty salty because I was expecting a GREAT steak from the other restaurant. I never tried Logan's before this trip, and honestly, I was judging without even trying it. I even made the comment, "They better have a great steak!"
We arrived at the most absolute busiest time. They were out of a lot of sides, which made me even more salty and I was growing more suspicious about this place. I order my steak well done, specifically with no pink. It takes a well skilled cook to prepare a steak well done with no pink AND still have it tender & juicy, so I wasn't expecting much, especially so far.
In their defense, I am a creature of habit. The restaurant wasn't nasty or anything. It was very clean. It just merely boiled down to the fact that this place was out of routine for me.
Well, let me tell you!! Much to my surprise, when my steak arrived, it was as ordered AND it was SO tender, I DID NOT EVEN NEED A KNIFE TO CUT IT!! AND it was delicious, also! Everything was delicious! Far beyond my expectations! I was wrong, and admitted to my family and even the waitress!
Given the stressful circumstances, our waitress was a champ and didn't skip a beat! We had 12 or so in our group and we were not her only table. She was phenomenal! Great communication skills, which is important. She was personable, prompt and took pride in her job. She was even comical. Definitely made the experience more desirable.
The table we sat at was super tight for the wheelchair, but I am pretty positive it was because my family failed to mention we needed handicap accessible.
