Service is terrible. Staff is rude and not polite. I work in the mall, actually right next door to this location. I as well as my coworkers have been coming to this location almost everyday for the past two years (I work 5 days a week). The staff acts as if they don’t know who we are despite us literally being the store connected adjacent to them and frequenting this location often.
Not only is the staff generally unfriendly and unhelpful as a mall neighbor, prompting my coworker to swear by never spending money at the location after a negative experience with staff. I recently purchased a large peach green tea with mango jelly as I have done so for almost two years. The first time the drink was made wrong and was passionfruit and not peach. I return drink and it is made again (just a tad of an inconvenience bc I had to leave the floor of my store as a manager to return my drink). The drink that was made a second time lacked any kind of sweetener prompting me to have to leave my store for a second time to ask that my drink be made again. Upon the third time having to do this, I was seemingly patronized by the girl at the register and the woman who made my drink. I was told sweetener was included when I’ve drank the drink for two years daily I know it lacked the sweetener, it’s not rocket science to know when you’re drinking bitter tea. My drink was remade again by the girl at the register who then told me to taste it to make sure it was ok before she patronized me by saying, “I made your drink the same way she did with the company standard of sweetness” ok? Maybe they did make the drink exactly the same way but it’s not impossible that the first girl forgot to include sweetener. I’m a manager at a luxury retailer next door, my discretion is SHARP. I found it incredibly rude that I was made to seem like I was being a picky customer when I was the one literally inconvenienced as a MANAGER by having to leave my store 4 times in total to resolve this. Despite them being my neighbor, I will never spend money at this...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at 85 Degrees. I ordered a tiger boba latte, expecting it to be a coffee-based drink. After a few sips, I realized there was no coffee in it. I returned to the counter to let them know, but they assured me this was how the drink is made. I tried to explain that a latte is traditionally a coffee drink, but they insisted I was wrong and that’s not what it means at their establishment.
To me, it feels misleading to advertise something as a 'latte' when it contains no coffee. This is confusing for customers who are accustomed to the traditional meaning of the term.
What made this worse was the dismissive attitude of what I believe was the manager. Despite my clear dissatisfaction, they wouldn’t offer an apology or a replacement drink. This lack of professionalism and effort to resolve the issue left me feeling unheard as a customer.
It’s clear they should be more concerned about customer satisfaction and making an effort to improve the experience for their patrons. I won’t...
Read morePROCEED WITH CAUTION I visited this location at del amo mall with a service dog. My dog is a standard size 60lbs. The general manager Lizette R. told me that the dog is "too big" and I would need to pick it up and carry her in my arms. I am utterly speechless as this ignorant general manager does not understand ADA compliance nor have any basic logic. It does not make sense for me to pick up a 60lb dog and try to pick out pastries while doing so. I informed the general manager that she is not complying with California ADA laws and she had complete disregard for it. I was given the choice to pick up the dog or leave. I sent a formal request to 85degree bakery corporate and they reached out and said they will look into it? I am heavily considering following up with legal counsel and also filing a formal complaint with the California ADA. If anyone has a service animal please do not go here as the entire company seems ignorant to any ADA...
