Today is Sunday July, 30 2023 at 10:11pm. I just left your establishment. I ordered a side of veggies and a side a rice. The young lady who took my order needs to learn better customer service etiquette. Initially, I asked for white rice, she gave fried rice, I repeated to her that I wanted white rice,, she said they did not have it, so I left it as it was. I had to wait for the veggies to finish cooking, which I had no problem with. Here is the start of my real issue began. The veggies were ready, sitting on top of the county. The young man/cashier saw the veggies, looked at everybody else’s plate who was waiting for something to which I only can assume was to see if they where waiting for veggies, but did not bother to look at my order or decided to ignore my order because there were people ahead of me and took the veggies and poured them in their serving tray dismissing my order. The young lady then came out to assist him, I simply told here the veggies were ready, because the young man/cashier overlooked my order. She reply’s, there are other people waiting. Obviously, I know that and I don’t know what they are waiting for, I know what I am waiting for and my food is paid for. If a customer has paid for their food, and it is ready to be served, the goal for service is to eliminate every paid order out of the queue as quickly and effectively as possible, as least that would be my thought process in the matter, and what I have experience at other Panda Expresses. The bigger dilemma for me is the young lady’s approach to servicing customers. Her demeanor and attitude was off putting and very unforgiving. You do not tell a customer who is simply pointing out to you that their order is ready to be packaged and bagged, that other people are waiting before them. If you could not get to completing my order, which was technically ready, at the moment, the proper phrasing should have been, “As soon as I complete this order or these orders, I will have yours ready for you. I do apologize for the wait.” I was already taken aback that my order was over looked by the young man/cashier, and her demeanor and the phrasing she chose to use did not help the matter. I am not one to write reviews, and I am very forgiving. But being tactful in how you deal and talk to customers in the hospitality industry can help avoid certain issues. It does not matter the hour service is given, whether it be you starting your shift or you closing the shift, good, quality customer service should be at the forefront for anyone working in the hospitality industry. This was my first visit to this location, but considering all things, I will stick to the Panda Expresses that I am use to. Train these people who work for your company, proper customer services etiquette. I get that some customers can be a handful, but your attitude and demeanor can be the difference making or breaking you and your customers...
Read moreOne of my personal go-to places for a quick, tasty meal when I need to down a few more delicious calories. I know the food is good and they keep it interesting by varying the dishes on the menu. What I always find interesting and a compliment Panda in Torrance is its appeal to a very diverse patronage. If you want to see all the different kinds of people, that is, the multiple of cultures that come to eat at Panda Express adjacent to Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, order some food and people-watch a bit as you eat. I'm always amazed at the kinds of people that "eat Chinese food." But the again it's Torrance where it's a cultural melting pot and people are very civil there. It's good to see, and it's good to feel safe, comfortable, and very at-home there when I want familiar, tasty, satisfying food in a clean restaurant. One thing now, though, that's a teeny inconvenient if you forget while paying. You have to ask for straws, and I wish they offered disposable knives to cut up your larger pieces of food like the chicken and some veggies into smaller bites. Otherwise, it's a good place to go for food in Torrance anytime. Also wish they had one of those muliple variety of drinks dispensing machines, including...
Read moreI need to be compensated and heard. I left negative feed back already on the survey but as much Panda Express I pay for because of my autistic son loves it. I never had the experience I just received the team wasn’t detail oriented. My son who was extremely hungry didn’t receive his items and was very sad. I ended up taking photos of the plate and calling the store and making a complaint I asked how it could be corrected they told me to drive back 20mins so I can have the plate remade while my food got cold at home and my partner ate his because he was hungry. They told me my only option was to get the plate remade or getting a refund of the one plate out I have to take the original plate with the original receipt I think that’s unrealistic and needs to be corrected. In and out has an amazing customer service. And the amount Panda Express makes should do better. I need someone to...
