On June 14, 2016, I came here for a quick bite before my night-shift hours were to begin. The experience was decent, but the quality was lacking.
I noticed as I was ordering that the onions and peppers were low inventory, so I asked when the next batch would be and he said 5 minutes. That was accurate, and I waited and watched the new batch cook and refill the vat.
The lettuce, pico, and corn were fine. The guac was too salty. I think it might not have been as fresh as it looked. The barbacoa looked good in the vat, but when they plopped it on top of the lettuce bed, I could see gross parts of the shredded beef among my eats. There was skin and cartilage, and the beef should have been properly cleaned before preparing for consumption.
I noticed as I was ordering, one of the food managers or food preparations personnel came and stuck a dirty (bits of food and/or clumps of something(s) on the) needle to measure the temperature of the meats out in the containers/vats people are choosing to include in their next bite! He did it in the steak container and that's what led me to opt for the barbacoa. I also noticed that the same tongs are used for emptying out all woks/pans. What about food allergies? And, when the girl in front of me ordered, the juices from her meats dripped into the chicken container ahead of it, as the server was placing it into her bowl.
There was a lot of cross contamination going on and I think they need to better control it. Even my Izze sparkling soda was handed to me with a piece of tomato attached to the bottle. I mean, c'mon!
I was so grossed out reminiscing about my experience here and stresses of work and life that I couldn't even bare to attempt to finish my salad. I tossed about 66% of it right into the garbage, and felt good about it. (Normally, I'd be guilt tripping about wasting food.)
The best part of my meal was what was inside the Izze bottle. Sparkling grapefruit! Aahh!
I kind of wished I made the entire salad just the fresh batch of peppers and onions on top of a bed of lettuce.
Now, not even an hour passed and I'm already feeling regrets of having had that for dindin. My belly is starting to feel queasy.
The ambiance is lovely. There's great sun by the windows if you dislike eating in the dark or under not so luminous fluorescent lighting. The stools by the window don't move, you have to simply plop yourself right on top, but they are a good distance from the counter you're eating at.
Upon my check out w/ my order, I used the last of what remained on a gift card I received for my bday. And, the girl behind the register was kind enough to ask if I wanted to keep it. She'd have thrown it out otherwise. But she explained that the card is refillable if I wanted to do so at a future time. And, the dumb part is - Why wouldn't they keep the card and re-issue it to someone else in need of a gift card?!

Read moreCame here last night around 8:30PM With a friend of mine for the first time being that we were shopping around the Roosevelt field mall and my friend wanted Chipotle. Upon arriving, we noticed two people sitting down already eating there food, as soon as we were walking up to have my friend place his order, a worker or perhaps manager? (had a different colored chipotle shirt compared to the others) didn't even greet us, and told us how they were out of a few things, the soda machine is broken, and if we wanted to order food we had to take it to go. Any chipotle location I've been too over the years didn't close until 10-11 o'clock latest, the fact there was already people sitting down eating and he was telling us we had to take our food to go and looked as if he was already preparing to clean up and close the store hours before it was actually suppose too is very unprofessional and rude in my opinion. Unless there was something going on that we were unaware of on why they would be closing sooner then expected then I feel we should've been told that and at least been spoken too alittle nicer. Didnt catch his name or care to get it but the gentleman was dark skinned with glasses and looked like he couldve been in his 20's. Weather hes a counter person or an actual manager I think you guys need to start reconsidering hiring new people that will take care of this store and treat customers...
Read moreIt is good. But they always run out of chips. Plus, during the weekends they run out everything very early. The employees are nice but the place is duty I understand gets busy but it needs more minding. Plus, get this the quesadillas need to order by email. I thought the quesadillas were been made in a different location and brought in, but no. The quesadillas are made in same place they just have to be order by email. Tell me, if this isn't idiotic, just to say it, is stupid. How can they do it and even ask customers to put up with this STUPIDITY. I wonder if customers actually do it. Are the quesadillas so control, that there has to be written consent to make one, or are they are so difficult to make that they have to read the order to get it RIGHT. So many questions that come from if you want to eat a quesadilla in a Mexican restaurant EMAIL your order, So idiotic to...
