For one of the newest Paris Baguette I've visited in Long Island, this is probably one of the biggest disappointments. If I was a manager, I'd probably take note that there are multiple competitors out there especially Starbucks, but I honestly don't see if manager will take note of this criticism.
The bathrooms were not cleaned every time I've visited so far. There were toilet papers on the floor and unflushed. The tables around the seats have crumbs and napkins on the floor. And honestly, some of these chairs and tables have damage on them already. This store opened less than 2 years and it's already having having the function of unmanaged cafe that's lasted 10 years.
Foods were pretty pricey comparing to Bayside/Flushing. But most of them were not even organized and I am not even sure if workers dont organize and clean up the inventories.
One cashier was like putting her hand on the counter leaning her face in and groaned and asked the customer what they want. I've asked them for a black hot coffee and ice milk coffee, and both of them were like barely available that the coffee left some powders and chunks of unshaken milk in the cup. I asked them if they have any new brewed coffees, they told me it'd take 20 mins.
I visit Westbury a lot due to work and Costco shopping, and I do take my daughter here frequently since she likes Paris Bagette's donuts. But I'd appreciate it if the management would take considerations to keep the shop sanitary and clean, and new like it is supposed to.
I'll write new reviews once all of...
Read moreMy friend and I had a very unfortunate experience yesterday while dealing with the cashier at the front. She had pink and black braids and was very nasty and condescending. We purchased several pastries and while checking out she used the same pair of gloves that she handled money with to transfer the pastries to the box (by hand not using thongs). Very unsanitary… we asked her to change her gloves and were ignored & then she handed a bag and said “Here you can change it” (the pastries). Very nasty, rude and dismissive throughout.
While I understand that everyone has off days, the cashier I encountered seemed to be consistently condescending and dismissive throughout my transaction.
Despite our attempts to engage in polite conversation stating her unsanitary practice, this was brushed off and our concerns were not taken seriously. The cashier’s tone and demeanor made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in the store.
Kudos to the gentleman who stepped in and corrected her mess. He was very understanding, pleasant and apologetic. (A great encounter)
To the cashier, if you don’t like your job simply leave, without customers you don’t get paid my dear. Try being more cognizant of what you put out. Also, money is passed through several hands & should not be in close proximity to food. It leaves way for germs & bacteria to spread even more. As a cashier, I believe you should have a food handlers permit & would have been educated about the dangers that this...
Read moreUpdate: I love my weekly visits to Paris Baguette especially the Westbury location. I went the other day to try the strawberry lemonade and it was refreshingly delicious! Coco and her staff are always so friendly which is probably why it's a busy location especially so many of us loyal repeat customers. There's always a new item to try as well as the classic standards for even the pickiest sweet treat and coffee lovers. Original Post: So glad Paris Baguette has expanded its locations! First location I went to was in Irvine, CA and immediately fell in love with this place. Location is Westbury is my favorite because of the fabulous Coco (manager) and her staff always greet you with a big smile, happy to offer suggestions and provide prompt assistance. Staff are attentive to make sure the dining area is clean. Great spot to treat yourself with a good coffee and pastry. So many sweet (croissant donuts, mochi donuts) or savory (pizzetta, pastry franks curry croquettes, ham & cheese pastry) choices, they recently added some new breakfast sandwiches. The cakes are out of this world deliciously dreamy, each bite is rich and flavorful than you can easily and happily share a slice. If you're looking for a new spot in the new year for a special treat or spot you need go to...
