Chiyoda Kosher Sushi — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

This place recently opened so I was expecting some hiccups that will hopefully be worked out, because the food was great and packed with flavor.

The atmosphere and layout can use some work. There was only one person working the tables for most of the night so service was a little slow compared to other places. It would not have been an issue if they had provided all the utensils and dishes typically expected (easy problem to improve on).

The portions were mostly great except the fish sushi poppers which were small and only came with 2 pieces and the beef fried rice which was almost all friend rice with a few slivers of beef.

I really hope they work the kinks out and stay open because there is potential here for Chiyoda to be a staple of the kosher scene...

They just recently opened, so I will cut them some slack on the bad service. The food was good. The Chinese food was very tasty. The printed menu needs to be re-done, it has errors and at least on the night we were there, there were several dishes that were unavailable. They will need to "up their game" to compete against the myriad of kosher sushi options in GN. As for the Chinese food, the menu needs to be expanded to compete...
