Read moreThe worst Restaurant to go there to Eat , not because of the food , the Atmosphere in the Restaurant is always like you’re going to eat in a funeral Home and not in a restaurant with a nice vibes , Nice Music Etc Etc ☹️ (1) the food is good enuf , even though I don’t know if the kitchen is lean enuf and they serving fresh food , because by the Spanish People he’s employing ? Who knows what they do and how they do the food , (2) You Never get what you Ordered from the Menu or what you asked for and if you are lucky enuf you’ll get what you ordered ☹️ , me and my wife sat there one evening , we ordered a Greek Salad , and all we got is a strange salad with a mushy lettuce leaves , and the waiters barely understand you , only if you speak Spanish 😀 and worse than that ? They are with so high level of Ego that they argue with you what you ordered !!! I’m sitting next to my wife I hear what she ordered and they argue with us , and looking at us like we are stupids who doesn’t know what we talking about 😡 (3) Deliveries of the orders to your home 👎👎 three days ago something happened and we stuck without prepared food at home , so I decided to order food from Gino’s restaurant , because all the other restaurants was close already , so I ordered well done Pizza and Penne La Vadca , Greek Salad and two cans of Regular Coca Cola , So The Salad they sent was Completely Rotten 😡 The pizza was not only Not Well Done ? It was Cold and tasted old !!! like they took some left over pizza from fridge from a few days ago !!! I Ordered Regular Coca Cola , but they sent A Zero sugar Coca Cola and I hate this Coke !!! They promised that we’ll get the food after Half an Hour ?? We got it after One Hour 😡 and Cold food !!!! So my points to this Restaurant is A - 0 - Zero !!! One Big ZERO Level Restaurant !!! And I advise to you , Go to another Restaurant to Enjoy your food in a nice place with music and Good Energies , Smiling waiters that understand what ever you say in English , and not waiters that looking at you with a dumb look in their eyes !!! ☹️☹️ Unless you are tired and out...
When Kraemer got lost in downtown Manhattan, he calls Jerry for help and they determine he is at the intersection of 1st and 1st, "the nexus of the universe!" And what is it at the nexus of everything that catches Kraemer's eye and gives him a modicum of comfort? An Original Ray's pizza shop.
At the intersection of Middle Neck Road and Grace Avenue, Gino's is located at the nexus of Great Neck. More accurate, though, might be to say Gino's IS the nexus of Great Neck. The food is always exactly what you wanted it to be. The counter and wait staff are so easy-going and familiar, they remind you of your aunts and uncles - the fun ones, at least, the ones you like. (Miss you, Uncle Jimmy). There is nothing good or bad to say of the decor or ambiance. Tight but functional, it's much like Shea Stadium, you'll miss it when it's gone. (Which hopefully, unlike Shea Stadium, is a day that will never come).
Gino's is a can't miss.
And remember, Friday is ALWAYS pizza night.
And save room for Italian ices!
Oh, and the grilled chicken roll is amaaa-zing!
(So is the regular chicken roll).
Oh, and you gotta get garlic knots! Muah! 😘
I can't believe I almost forgot the Gino's Salad. The. Best.
Salad slice... Sicilian pie... penne alla vodka... penne alla vodka pizza... chicken parm... chicken...

Your nose instantly perks from the zesty scents beyond the door, which you open to busy folks making different types of pizzas in multiple pan ovens behind a glass display of what's been prepared so far for the day. Beyond that is a where you can be seated at intimate tables or traditional booths where you can have a cozy meal. I have been coming to this place from since I was 9 years old with my folks, to high school years with friends, to just the other day, currently in my 30's. I was tired from picking up things and wanted a nostalgic dinner to myself. What is amazing is I saw people of all ages still dining here and everyone working here is always so welcoming, casual and nice to their customers. I didn't get anything fancy but I will admit I definitely treated myself! I enjoyed myself, catching my breath, reflecting and truly being present with hot, delicious slices of extra cheese pizza and bubbly, crisp root beer. I left with a full stomach and a smile as I said goodbye to a place full of fond memories I hope I can...
