It’s been a couple years since my wife and I have eaten here and we’ve lived in the area for about 5 years. We went here about 2 weeks ago and enjoyed the food. However the waitress acted visibly annoyed when we asked for more salsa (I like to also put on my food). She seemed to have a little attitude but whatever, maybe a long day. Anyway, today we went back for lunch and had the exact same waitress. I ordered what I usually do at other Mexican restaurants (we frequent them often) which was a chile verde burrito (which typically comes with rice and beans on the side. What I got was just a big chile verde burrito. When I inquired about my order, she said well the beans and rice are inside. Something how the dinner one is different or the lunch one was different. Okay that’s fine but she was extremely rude when saying this. Major attitude towards my wife, argumentative and wouldn’t even let me explain what I was expecting there to be. After she was done arguing, with plenty of rudeness took the plate back to go have what I wanted made.
I probably would have just dealt with what was given to me even though it wasn’t what I ordered or wanted. But 2nd time having a rude, crappy attitude, we’re done. We got up, my wife noticed her to just cancel our order. We left and we will never be back and neither will...
Read moreI went here last night with a friend. I got enchiladas, not expecting cilantro to be included in the dish, as I very recently discovered cilantro gives me severe migraines. When my plate arrived, it looked like the tomato salad may have had cilantro, but when I asked the female staff member, she said that it was just the darker part of the lettuce. After taking a couple of bites, my friend and I notice stems on the "darker parts of the lettuce" and that the female and a couple of men are in the back speaking in Spanish and saying "cilantro" a lot, indicating they were talking about me. After I call her over and say I don't want the dish anymore because there's cilantro on the plate and cilantro gives me migraines, she says, "I'm sorry, I just thought you didn't want to eat it". So essentially, I ended up in the emergency room last night because she thought I was being picky, not because it was potentially a health issue.
So, lesson learned. I have to ask every waiter if every thing I want to eat has cilantro, and even then I don't know if I can trust them, and I will never go back to this place, in spite of it now being the most convenient Mexican...
Read moreThis was the last of the local places I had yet to visit. I wish I had decided to try it much sooner than I did. Not crowded so we got instant seating. The wait staff was right there with chips and salsa plus a bowl of warm refrieds. Our party of 3 ordered steak fajitas, a shrimp dish and fish tacos. The food was delicious, so much so that no take out boxes were needed. The wait staff was unobtrusive but always there when you needed something. The decor is tasteful and colorful and certainly generated conversation. They have the largest seafood section of any of the locals. There's only one other local Mex restaurant that servers better tasting food than here (and not that much better) earning this restaurant a place on the return visit list . All in all a great...
