MUY MUY MAL! RUN! Avoid this place at all costs. Not only is the food terrible, but the service is just as bad. We should have left the moment Alberto told us they make margaritas with wine due to not having a liquor license, but we wanted to support a small Latino-owned business. BIG MISTAKE. The chips were nothing more than store-bought Tostitos, and the salsa was just as bad. After just two bites, we politely expressed that we didn’t enjoy the food. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, the staff pressured us to say everything was fine. When we finally admitted we were unhappy and wanted to leave, we were still forced to pay the $8, regardless of the POOR quality. I don’t think we have ever had such bad chips and salsa or poor customer service. The lack of customer service and respect here is unacceptable. Save your money and go elsewhere. ALV

The first thing I want to say is that I love this place. It has a real neighborhood Mexican bar vibe. Mexican love songs playing on the juke box. The fanciest beer on tap is Dos Equis. But then I order the Chicken Chimichanga. I've only lived in Tucson for 4 months so I'm not an expert on Chimichanga's. So I had to look it up. The filling isn't supposed to be only chicken. The filling was a mass of canned chicken. I didn't taste any spices or cheese. It was a large amount of chicken. All of the spices and cheese were on the outside. It did taste good if you move your chicken around all the sauces in the plate. So my only criticism is that it's not authentic. Based on my internet search. Whatever that's worth.

An awesome place to grab lunch or dinner, with cold drinks, great music an even karaoke. Great food at a reasonable price, with huge portions and not very crowded at all. No more expensive than eating at any fast food restaurant. Great service and a great location. Right across the street from the Ronstadt bus station on Congress. Although I personally don't drink, they do seem to have a decent selection. So if you're downtown Tuson, and want to grab some extremely flavorful Mexican food and a beer, or just a cold soft drink, then the Iguana Cafe is a definite must of all the restaurants downtown.

My Tia asked the owner what song dose he want herto sing for the bar during karaoke. He tells his wife mind you.
