Update:: 1.14.2018. Got the call from the owner who was very apologetic and offered to give 6 bibingka for free.plus refund. I said thanks but its too far so refund will do.

So next time we are in the area we will try again and hopefully service will be much better.

Disappointed with service. My husband and I had to pick up my mother in law yesterday at the airport so we decided to try the food there on our way to the airport but what I really wanted was to buy bibingka to take home which i got a taste of when our guests brought some over for Christmas dinner.

I dont know what happened but we finished dinner but the bibingka and the pancit malabon that we ordered were not ready yet. I had to wait in line to follow up. Then waited for them to get it ready. Then only to find out when we were near the airport that instead of 6 bibingka which was what we paid for, they only put 1 so we paid $23 for 1 bibingka. I guess some fault is mine for not checking before leaving but we were already running late because the service took forever and I figured they already double checked the order before giving them to me since they knew some orders were getting mixed up. Hopefully they refund or we dispute with our bank. Its only $23 but what made me so mad was I was really looking forward to eating and sharing their bibingka with our non Filipino friends and we live in lacey so its not that convenient to go back there unless there are other things we plan on doing in that area.

As someone who don't right reviews at all the service I got was terrible I tried to put a order in through the phone and the female that picked up. like i dont know if she was just having a bad day but she acted like she couldn't hear me I even repeatedly asked if she could an she just hung up in my face like even if she didn't she was way to quick to hang up and didnt even make an attempt to make sure she could hear me I gave it another chance. called a 2nd time and she heard me clear as day and I tried to put a order in and she instantly put me on hold I waited cause i thought maybe their just busy no one cared to pick up i was left their waiting on hold i then called again one last time and next thing I know their closed? and they supposed to close at 7pm it was 3:40 or so when I first called. as someone who is a new costumer never been here before an just trying to see how their food is cause I truly love Filipino food it honestly bothers me that she pushed me to the side very inconsiderate and rude again I don't write no reviews at all but this review is well deserved you guys could of told me we are lil busy right now can I please put you on hold for a second or something like don't treat people like that you guys deserve this review I'm sorry I didn't even wanna go there with this one cause it's gonna give you guys a bad look yall have a wonderful day I'm not ever ordering from here at all you guys lost business before even accepting it that's mad weird for you guys to do like do better please

Earlier I gave this place only one Star. (see earlier comment below) However, Michael the owner called me to apologize for the poor service I received and the food. He corrected the problem by not just going above but beyond what I expected. I love supporting small businesses such as this and I want to give them tripple Kudos for caring about what their customers think. I am from Pheonix and I wish Manila Sunset all the success. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. I should have listened to my husband and never ever go in to any Filipino so called restaurant ever again. Everytime I go to Filipino restaurant it is always a major disappointment. I ordered the beef tapa with fried eggs. Not only did I wait for almost an hour but this was the WORST AND MOST DISGUSTING FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN. It was missing the fried eggs and the what so called beef tapa was cold and tasted like it was left over from the day before. The cashier told me that they were short staff and their dishwasher didn't know what he was doing which is not an excuse for the type of food that they serve. This plate didn't look complicated. It is just some marinated slices of beef grilled BUT HOW IN THE WOLRD CAN YOU MESS IT UP. I am embarrased to call this Filipino or even comfort food for Filipinos.
