I have been going to Paco for a little under a year now, trying to give this guy a chance over and over again…. During this time Paco’s haircuts have been very inconsistent, sometimes I will get a really good haircut and sometimes I’ll get a really bad one. This entire time I’ve been quiet but today was the last straw.
The reason that I’ve been returning to him consistently for several months is due to the fact that he is very good with the razor and never cuts me (very rarely). Most of the time he gives me a hot towel treatment in order to soften the hairs before doing a bare shave. This was very relaxing, and a great way for me to decompress while getting a haircut. This is a normal thing he typically does when cutting my hair but last night he did not, which is fine but with the hot towel treatment it’s an easy way to avoid from getting razor bumps.
I knew that my haircut was the last cut of the night, so it was clear he was going home afterwards. Out of consideration I didn’t bring it up because I thought he did a pretty good job shaving me without it.
But my biggest issue goes back to the inconsistency of the haircuts. Since I’ve been going to him for such a long time, this haircut in my opinion is absolutely unacceptable. Most barbers, when you visit them for that long of a duration they typically understand that you need the same haircut every single time. I figured, when I sat down in his chair he would’ve known automatically that I wanted the same type of fade and a razor lineup, just my typical style that I’ve been getting all of this time. Not only does he start putting hair dye in my beard but he gave me a BALD FADE instead. In the 6 to 7 months that I’ve been going to Paco, I’ve NEVER asked for a bald fade. He usually does a “1 - 1/2” setting on his clippers, which still gets the hair low but never bald.
Going back to the hair dye, I’m not sure why he does this without me knowing? I’m not sure if it’s a tactic to cover up his own personal mistakes while cutting my hair? A few visits ago he did it without me knowing and I let it go, tried to do something different and discovered that I did not like it. So after that happened I let him know that I DO NOT need hair dye on my beard or forehead. Last night he was starting the process of dying my beard again, I had to tell him to stop.
So now, for $60.00 I have to walk around for the next week or so with my entire head damn near bald all over. The front of my haircut near my forehead and beard looks fine but I am very upset that I was charged full price for his own mistake. Again, I’ve never asked for a BALD FADE, Getting a low fade and a bald fade are two completely different styles.
OveralI, I think Paco is a decent guy aside from being a barber but honestly, I think he could use a few more months in barber classes because his haircuts are VERY inconsistent. There were times he would come to the shop only for me and for the most part, I appreciate that but still, I’m...
Read moreTerrible customer service and overpriced haircuts. Even the barbers had haircuts that made me question why they had the audacity to fix their mouths to ask for so much money.
They also weren't very inviting either. It felt like they were agitated that I was there. I called beforehand, and the person who answered sounded just as uninterested over the phone as they all turned out to be in person. Their nasty attitudes, off-putting demeanor, and the subpar quality of their cuts leaves absolutely no justification for the prices.
Response to owner: Your response is a big part of the reason why I will never come back there. Ever. Also, I gain nothing by being dishonest. Check all of your low ratings and notice the similarities in our experiences. Not once was I greeted. Your lack of customer service is why there is absolutely no justification of your prices whatsoever. Furthermore, not once did I use expletives in your shop. I said you've lost your minds with the prices, and I stand by that. My son wasn't even getting a full haircut (a simple fade in the back and a lineup), and you think that it is reasonable to charge $50....for that?! Yeah, you're out of your mind. I absolutely can afford that, but why would waste my time when I could get better customer service, reasonable prices, and not be lied on in the reviews elsewhere?
I simply matched your barbers' energy and took my son somewhere less "affluent" with better customer service, sensible prices, and less arrogant barbers. That being said, I stand by my review, and your condescending response to others' and my review lets me know that I did the right thing by walking out. Your shop can be as "affluent" as possible, but it leaves a lot to be desired when your barbers are too "affluent" to be approachable. I stand by my review; whether you...
Read moreCool shop. Just an awful experience! I moved from North Carolina and was recommended by my current barber to try this specific location out. Decided to give it a shot since Seattle had become my new home. I made my appointment online just like most barbershops require you do nowadays. The only time slot that was available happened to be with one of the owners so in my head I’m like “this exactly who I want to cut hair”. Well guess again, I walk in and Carlos or whatever he calls himself “Mr.loz”. Is playing video games. I didn’t mind so I walk up to him and say “Hey man, I think I have an appointment with you.” He gave me a “whatever dude” look. And so we begin, I’m a pretty out going guy and really like being cool with my barbers because why not? (I’m trusting you with my hair lol.) But this dude really thought he was all that and a bag of chips. Guy really tried to send me out with a crooked line up along with some hairs longer than others. I asked him to fix it and you could just see the lack of customer service along with the feeling he thought his video game was more important than my green money. (I also heard he rents exotic cars to go out to clubs on a Wednesday nights lol one of those). The other barbers seemed cool. But this guy really thinks he’s like that. Wouldn’t recommend him at all. Other than that I would say it’s a cool...
