I stayed here for a total of two nights. The hotel itself is nice the rooms are great and I had good customer service with the gentleman and the lady in the front that checked me in and helped me extend my stay the second night. Up on the third day I called the officeBefore it was time to check out because I needed time to go deposit money into my bank account in order for me to extend my stay. The lady that answered the phone who I later found out was the site manager was very rude to me saying no that was not able to and I need to check out if I didn't have the money to pay at 12:00 when check out time was. I informed her that okay I could do that but I would need a little more time because I was not intending to leave and I need to pack my stuff and I was not sure how long it was going to take. She very rudely told me no that I couldn't get more time than I need to use out there as soon as possible so I started to pack my stuff I am disabled and I have a service dog and I notified the front desk of the stuff prior to my checking in. As I'm trying to get my stuff together to leave I was continued to be harassed and called on every 10 to 15 minutes by the front desk asking me if I was done or when would I be finished and I told them that I was trying to hurry up as fast as I could but that like I stated before I was not intending on leaving so I was not anywhere prepared to pack my stuff to leave. At about 2:00 p.m the manager came to my room and told me that I need to get out or she was going to call the cops on me and trespass me. I was getting quite upset at this point because during the entire time that I was packing my stuff trying to leave and not taking a break it was not as if I was just sitting there doing nothing I literally have been packing my things the entire time as soon she told me that I need to leave if I didn't have the money in my account to extend my reservation by 12:00 p.m. she then told me that she wasn't going to close the front door so that I can finish pack my stuff when she knew that I had a service dog so I literally had to carry around my dog with me to make sure that he didn't get out and run away the lady was extremely rude saying little belittling comments like " at least I can pay my bills" I've never been more humiliated in my life or treated so in humanely. For someone having a disability you would think that they would be more considerate and have a little bit more compassion but instead I just got straight arrogance and humiliation. And then to top it off she never returned my $100 deposit I am beyond irate and I will be taking this further because this is not the way I believe a disabled person should be treated at all. Just because my disability is not visual does not mean that it is not exist and I shouldn't have to explain any of that to be treated properly people should be treated like human beings and I did not believe in it in second get that sort of treatment from this lady I wish I could remember her name but I can't she had long brown hair and she said that she was the site manager shame on you shame on you shame on you I hope that someone retrains you in humankindness because you...
Read moreI can't fathom how this place scores above a 4 review. Anyone who books a place to stay for vacation expects the bare minimum for a comfortable stay. This place fails at all of it. First off, a comfortable bed. The bed is complete trash, its extremely uncomfortable with barely any cushion, very squeaky springs and old, and worse than that is the pillows. No cushion, flat, ruined all 7 days we slept here. Imagine enjoying your day then coming to bed every night to disappointment to ruin it for you. Now for the seemingly random issue, the toilet. Gentlemen, if you are a male above the age of 10, you will NOT fit on the toilet that we had in room 1613. Without exaggeration, it is a toddlers toilet that you will find in an infant daycare. Not only is it tiny, but its rounded without the space in the middle for your manhood. We arrived at aprox. 0015 in the morning and had already unpacked and showered. By the time I went to use the toilet and sat down I couldnt believe. What am I going to do? Ask for a new room due to a tiny infants toilet? I doubt my reservation allowed for changes to be made. My wife and daughter could use it, so I just used the public one located at there checkin lobby/breakfast area. Now onto the third issue here, their breakfast. This place boasts free breakfast. Cool. If only they had workers that paid attention to the food available more often. 7/7 days eating in the morning they were always out of something, and the menu is extremely limited. We were still adjusting from jet lag so we always came the last hour after 8am till 9am closing. No meat, but had eggs. Couple muffins and bagels left. I understand its the last hour, but why the hell should I be forced to come early just to have food available? Its not like its the last 10 mins, I got an hour left. I dont' know who made the rice weekdays mon-fri but the rice was soggy slop every single day. They have no clue how much water they added. Thank god came sat-sun had to be a new worker, because the rice was normal finally. So back to the bare minimum, a comfy bed, a goddam toilet made for a grown man, and breakfast. Failed. Id put 0/5 if I...
Read moreMy husband and I needed a place to stay for Thanksgiving night, as we went for Thursday and Friday to my daughter’s, who lives in Rainier Beach. We live about 22 miles north of Rainier Beach and I don’t like to drive in the dark, so we’ve tried various places close to my daughter’s. We’ve stayed previously at the Hyatt at The Landing, but the cost keeps going up! We tried an airbnb, but my husband, who is visually impaired, did not like it at all. This Residence Inn should have been great! I liked the “suite” - it was like having a little “home away from home”. A total kitchen, the refrigerator was cold; the freezer was frozen. My husband and I prefer to sleep in separate spaces, and he slept on the pull out couch bed. There was good separation of the “living room” area and where the bed was, which I was going to sleep in. ||We made up the pull out couch bed for my hubby and he jumped in and fell asleep. I got ready for bed and watched a bit of television on the large tv that created a divider between the bed and the “living room” area. I got sleepy and crawled between the sheets of the bed. I was wide awake within a few minutes. The bed was so uncomfortable! The longer I latex there trying to sleep, the worse my body hurt. My lower back and my hips were screaming at me. No matter how I tried to lay, my body was hurting. At home I sleep on memory foam, which keeps all my joints happy and prevents “pressure points”, but I really discovered what those pressure points were in the bed here this night. ||Finally, at about 1 AM, I checked my phone to see how long it would take us to get home - 33 minutes! No traffic, clear skies and roads! I woke my husband and a decision was made! We were home and I was asleep by 2 AM. I guess we will have to pay the price of the hotel with the better beds for Christmas. I am disappointed; I had really wanted to like the Residence Inn. Maybe because I am older I need a better bed than what was in our room here, but I won’t waste my money...
