March 15, 2022 Dont come here. Snow (door glass) litters parking lot from broken-in cars. Even a car in lot on 4 cinder blocks...all 4 wheels stolen!!!. Multiple reasons dealing with service, not following schedules, and testy attitudes to defend it...(not referring to management..they are super nice) but regular workers here are very rude and incompetant when unmonitored....and it NEVER ends. Its adds up to a bad stay. I fly down here for my company to handle a big issue...and i have to take it up the rear from half the hotel crew!! I have to park at a side door because i cant stand them. I can be more specific: 1) abandoned desk in the early morning with front door turned off! I stood there AN HOUR from 2:10 am to 3am on march 14th...trying to check in for the second leg of my nine-week stay....yes...i had a reservation so they KNEW i was coming!!! Only a call to corporate got someone to show up. The desk clerk tried to lie to me that he had checked in once during that hour. Check the videotapes. He is lying...he is a Spanish male..late 30s or early 40s. 2) breakfast room feels like a mere 50 degrees every day for weeks so far. Think they finally fixed it...or it just warmed up outside..thank god. 3)In the breakfast area, juices and milk are often flat out empty...and in the middIe of the breakfast time. In weeks i never see anyone check or replenish. I have to ask them to do it by wal king to the check in counter every day. I am tired of asking for what i PAID FOR. Once, no utensils or milk...basically nothing could be eaten and 6 guests staring at the breakfast counter.. not knowing what to do. 4) ...contd story...When I nicely explained the problem to the desk lady...the desk girl did not care...she did not acknowledge i even spoke. She didnt say a single word like "whoops" or "my bad". Nope. . She looked at me and then resumed typing...no "good morning" ..not a word. As i stood there waiting for her to say a word... she made this complaining grunt and got up. ..She Just slammed down the milk and utensils and stormed off. This is a slender youg black girl in her early 20's. The manager knows who i am talking about. I didnothing to provoke her at all but there were severalpeople wanting to eat but they were too nice to get into it with the front desk to ask for a spoon. 5) T.v. remote with new batteries i just put in. Remote still doesnt work...but i dont want to fight with the rude workers. 6) The fridge of my 1st floor room freezes every thing. My own gallon of milk is a solid block of ice in morning..my vegetables ruined...and the temperature dial is broken. I asked for a replacement and they never showed up. I dont want desk people treating me poorly...so i let that go too.7) No source of power near the bed unless you have a 5 foot charging cord. Every other hotel has SOMETHING on the desk lamp. 8) I did a load of laundry that went past 10pm. They locked the room at 10pm..fair enough...there was a sign saying 6am to 10pm only. No problem. I go by at 7:30 am to get my work clothes for the day. I am in a hurry. Laundry room still locked. Its about a 50 yard walk to the desk. Longest hallway i have EVER seen!! I explained i need my work clothes but the clerk cut me off mid sentence "we will have to find someone to do it". I explained the jam they put me in making me late for work.. but he cut me off again "we will get simeone on it!!". This was a caucasian male in his 60's. I am so sick of this place; but, my boss booked me here for 9 weeks. Only the managers are nice...but the rest can turn on a dime if say anything..doesnt matter how nice you are asking for normal things. I will NEVER let anyone from my company come here ever again. Its so odd because the 2 managers seem extremely bright, well-spoken and...
Read moreWe made phone reservations for a weekend in August with our son and several friends to catch a baseball game. Online it noted that if you had specific room requests that we needed to make reservations by phone. We were traveling with five 12-13 year old boys and had only two requests. One, that the rooms would be next to each other, for their safety and to avoid disturbing other guests, and two, that there was an outdoor pool that was open, as shown on the website for this location. After being clear about both requests and basing our reservation on both boxes being checked, the phone representative clarified several times that yes, the rooms will be next to each other and the pool was open and operational. Upon arrival, we found out that our rooms were 211 and 219, dozen the hall from each other and not next to each other and that the pool has not been open for a couple years. Too late for us to do anything about it during this visit but when I followed up with customer service by phone and through several emails, they refused to accept responsibility for this gap stating it is not their policy to guarantee these things over the phone. Of course I understand that this is their policy but if all companies always followed policy, there would be way less complaints. In this case it was never stated that they couldn’t provide 2 rooms next door to each other or that they were not sure about the pool and for that matter, never stated anything about their policy. The representative said he checked on both requests and verified this location was able to accommodate our requests. The last person I spoke with on the phone, Mark employee number 421, stated that all they could do was offer some rewards points that would equate to approximately 10% off a future stay, once I joined and obtained a membership. He said there was nobody else that I could talk to and they considered the matter closed. If their own phone representatives had indeed followed policy and were open in stating what they could and and couldn’t provide, we would have been free to make the choice to proceed and then it would have been on us if something was not what we hoped for, but when there is a breakdown on Wyndham’s end, their policy not followed and ultimately the whole basis of our reservation was not provided, that is when they should step up and take responsibility for this lapse. To date they have not and are seemingly hoping that people like us will slowly lose steam and forget about it. Our original complaint did not even include notes about how the room still smelled like smoke and we had the smallest pillows we had ever seen in a hotel. Avoid your own travel misfortunes and stay...
Read moreArrived at the Ramada late one evening and the woman at the front desk was pleasant. Check-in was a breeze. First impression of our room: shower could have been cleaned a little better (there were something caked on that need to be scrubbed off) and the AC unit could have been A LOT better! Our first night we had to sleep in light clothes and without the blanket or even the sheet. Our sleep was disturbed quite frequently from waking up so hot. The next day we called the front desk to request the AC be fixed or to have a new room to move to. When we returned late in the afternoon, the AC wasn't fixed. In a rush to get ready and head out for an event, we called the front desk again to say that we needed a new room but wouldn't be able to pack up and switch rooms until after our event. They were nice enough to accommodate and provided us with a new room key that we could use later. Unfortunately, when we returned, our original room key was deactivated so we were inconvenienced in gaining access to both the hotel and our room. This too was eventually rectified and we moved to our new room which was much cooler! Another little problem we had was with our vehicle. We noticed that the passenger side was a little banged and scuffed up. We again went to the front desk and were told that a manager would look into it for us the next day. When we returned to inquire, we were given no information that could be of any help to us.
Besides this, a couple other things to note: Free parking Free wifi (although the connection was very poor in our room) Free breakfast (as good as you'd expect for a hotel breakfast - hot items included eggs, sausage or biscuits with gravy and hashbrowns; other items include: yogurt, cereal, breads/pastries, waffles, apples/oranges, coffee/tea, orange/apple juice On-site gym (nothing much but better than nothing On-site...
