Ok so this is my follower up response from our dining experience at Outback Steakhouse at 16510 Southcenter Parkway on January 24, which happened on our 43rd wedding anniversary.....! After posting my disappointing customer service and dining experience on Google as well as on the Outback Steakhouse website, I was contacted by a representative of guest relations on February 1. She acknowledged my concerns and assured me that what happened to my wife and I definitely was not a true representation of the way any customer should be treated at their establishment. Furthermore she apologized for our experience and definitely made no excuses for it.....! Reassuring me this was not the end of this matter, promising me that someone would be contacting me to resolve it ASAP.....! Staying completely true to her words, less then a hour I receive a call from Outback Steakhouse Southcenter Parkway.... I talked with the managing Partner (Jay Markland) who apologize for the incentive treatment that we received. He asked if we would even consider coming back to the restaurant for dinner, he promised that it would be the prefect dining experience for us. If we decided to take him up on the offer he just wanted to know the day and time, so he could be there at the door to welcome us with a handshake. After struggling with doubt and much consideration we both decided to take him up on his offer, trusting that he would be true to his word. So I called Jay and made a reservation for Saturday May 16th at 7:00pm he was happy to hear from me. Upon arrival as promised we found him standing at the front door with a smile and a firm handshake, then he personally escorted us to our specially assigned table. And as promised it was indeed an extraordinary evening, mouthwatering dinning and extraordinary customer service at it's best....! Jay Markland, you sir are a man of your word....! My wife and I definitely appreciate your sincere honesty and respect regarding this mater.....! Thank you.....!
Ok let me start off by saying that I was totally disappointed from start to finish with by dining experience at the Outback Steakhouse.....! Disappointed and disgusted simply go hand in hand when describing my evening.. I had no reason to believe that it would be this bad, simply because we had been here before and had a wonderful time..( Celebrating my wife's birthday) This being our 43rd wedding anniversary, we decided to dine there again, I had 7:00 reservation for 2 on Saturday 27. Upon arriving for dinner I informed the hostess of my reservation giving her my name and time for dinning. To our surprise her answer was it would take 20 minutes to seat us, I again repeat that we had reservation hopefully it won't take that long......! She then said that I should have told her in the very beginning that I had reservations, doing so with a angry tone in her voice.....After telling us it would take a moment, believe or not she then tried to set us in the bar saying there weren't any tables available, Our answer was definitely no and we would wait this was a special night for us. Then to our surprise she quickly turned to another person, who actually was helping bus tables giving him the menus telling him to seat us.......! This was totally out of line and I definitely bought it to her attention, her answer was talk to my manager......! She then turned her attention to another couple, smiling while calling there names taking them to a table and not to the bar.....! The person that seated us was just as confused as we we're, in fact he was shocked at her behavior....He didn't understand why he was seating us, simply because it was her job. I had the opportunity the talk to the manager and he was confused as well, said he would definitely have a talk with her.......? For our trouble care of our appetizers and dessert, needless to say the evening was completely ruin by the hostess actions............! And to make matter worse, the food was absolutely terrible......! This by far was the absolute worst dinning experience of all times and we will...
Read moreIn a new world of take out, & "food delivery" We still have some darn good DINE IN! Yay! I feel like... even so, some places that I may have given 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 across the board... are pushed to maximum in the kitchen. Trying to get great food prepped for pick up, delivery, and in house dining... Prices are up everywhere, but dine in is slowly taking a back seat catering to pickup/takeout... (feeling that Dine in are there because they love the food/restaurant). All will be happy/good... We had a large group celebrating a Birthday. Everything food wise was still great quality, well made and presented, temp was good (no returns/send backs) nice large portions "so you get that 2nd back home, or next day lunch bonus" it was quiet inside but very busy w/outgoing orders. Our server was wonderful, checking on us all often, made extra time to acknowledge, and make a special night out for our Birth day Girl, giving her several options for an on the house Birthday Treat. I still highly recommend Outback Steakhouse for a darn good steak, blooming Onion, pasta is wonderful great homemade sauce and taste... Seafood fresh well cooked, salads that are huge and packed with yummmm. My only real "disappointment" is what is happining every place, when once there were 6-7 BQ-grilled shrimp, and 6-7 steak medallions on the Hand made fettuccine there were 3-4 grilled shrimp, 3-4 medallions. With the same, or increased cost. When you may order an adult beverage "top shelf" the mixer is 30-40% increased and cost doubled. Will it stop us from going to the Outback? Not a chance!!! Was the food, temp, portion, presentation above the average? Yes! Would we order adult beverages with a large group... meeehhh... if it were broken down to "grp, w/in grp" checks... ya... but as we were, 1 check weeeeeew! The bar tab was much greater than the food tab, there were 9 of us, 4 had water, tea, or a seltzer... All this being said... Still a Great Place to get a darn good meal. Wish I could give that 5th 🌟 wish there was a 4.5 option. That would be closer...
Read moreI am so deeply impressed with this team. The kindness, professionalism and accuracy displayed during our visit, in my opinion, represents a manager that truly cares about their employees. At least I hope that is the case.
I wouldn't normally leave a review on an Outback. I feel like everyone knows what to expect BUT to experience such perfection of service on Father’s Day? Now that is impressive.
I came in to honor my dad who just absolutely loved Outback. We celebrated anything and everything from casual get-togethers to birthday day celebrations. My plan was simply to buy a bread board to have at home in his memory and maybe a snack since we had an hour commute. I didn’t have high expectations as far as service or food. Holidays are tough for restaurants- but not this Outback.
Our servers name was Christina and she was honestly an angel. I’ve been in the service industry and have managed at a fine dining restaurant. From the host greeting us and pleasantly seating, to the warm and GENUINE care that I felt from Christina, to the accuracy and perfection of the food from the kitchen- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Every table near me seemed to get their requests quickly and kindly. The food that passed by us looked as close to the pictures and commercials as I have ever seen.
I do know that the staff was “all hands on deck” and servers sections were small. I truly hope the tips reflected how great this team ran. They deserve recognition. I wish I could do more to show my appreciation but y'all truly made a hard day for me into a wonderful experience.
Thank you Outback staff, and even more so, thank you Christina. Your energy and work ethic deserve recognition. I wish I could have tipped the bill. From the bottom of my heart and in memory of Duane, my most sincere and deep...
