From the beginning (the process took a couple months), this has been an awesome and educational experience with Ross at Mattress Depot USA in Tukwila. I have been in chronic pain for almost 3 years so I haven’t had proper sleep in years. You can imagine how that wreaks havoc on your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Ross took TIME to work with my husband and I to figure out what our combination would be. I am a strictly back elevated sleeper and my husband sleeps however depending on his fatigue level and pain. Ross figured out our pillows. He was SO PATIENT with my myriad of questions. With me trying out multiple bases. And when I couldn’t figure out the combinations of a particular mattress with a certain base, he and my husband MOVED the mattress to go on another base. This was way late in the evening after he waited for me to get off work.
I cannot explain to you how much this meant and still means. For someone to go to that extent who was so accommodating with no anger, no frustration, just kindness.
At the end of all my questions and combination tests, my husband and I agreed on a combination of two separate Twin XL’s to match our sleep patterns.
They were just delivered!!! Let me tell you, I cannot wait to sleep tonight. I hope all the excitement doesn’t keep me awake…. NAH.. I’m DEFINITELY sleeping. Can’t wait for those vibrations from my base.
The delivery team, Dalton and Nick were completely respectful. They honored our request to not wear their shoes in our bedroom. They answered my questions about the base and power and explained what to do in case of power loss. and took the time to give a quick overview of the remote. Overall, respectable and helpful.
We went to multiple places and tried out the same or similar mattresses. Other establishments were kind as well. Ross’ over extent of himself and extensive knowledge and solutions were some key factors why we ultimately decided to go with Mattress Depot...
Read moreWe had a very positive experience with Ross, the salesperson at Mattress Depot USA. We had expected to spend the entire day mattress shopping and were not very excited about it, figured we'd have to visit several places and didn't have a good idea of what we were looking for. Ross asked, "tell me about your sleeping style. Are you a back sleeper, side sleeper, stomach sleeper?" and, "What do you like and not like about your current mattress?" "Do you tend to get hot, or cold, when you sleep?" Etc. All questions aimed at helping him know what would be best to show us. He helped us eliminate the wrong choices right away and zero in on the right ones. He was knowledgeable about not just mattresses but human anatomy and different kinds of sleep – I felt like we were getting an education. He obviously cared about getting the customer the right item for them.
We left the shop feeling confident that our search would be much shorter than we'd thought, and he did not pressure us to buy. At the next shop the salesperson asked only two questions: "what kind of mattress are you looking for?" (if we knew that, we wouldn't have needed help) and "how much are you planning to spend?" Needless to say, we didn't spend much time in the second shop, just long enough to notice that the stock was similar to Mattress Depot. We went back to Mattress Depot and made a purchase from the salesperson who cared enough to direct us to the right purchase for us. Thank you Ross for a streamlined visit! Read morePurchased a Restonic mattress from the Tukwila store from a young man working there. We were told that the 15 year warranty would be honored if any thing went wrong with it. After only 6 years we went back to the store, because the mattress had developed a valley and what felt like a hill down the middle of the bed. Ross told me to send him pictures and warranty form information which we did. He forwarded the information to a Mattress Depot consultant named Comer who sent me a email response saying they would not honor the replacement bed which I had requested. Next Ross had me contact the Restonic warranty representative. She requested that I send her the pictures and warranty information that I had sent to Ross before she could do anything. What a gigantic run around scheme. I told them to speak to each other and get the required information and pictures that I had already sent to This Comer representative by way of Ross, Restonic rep just got rude and told me she would send me warranty forms to fill out again plus new pictures which she now needed. I have never seen a bunch of people passing the buck in order to not help a customer out with their Mattress problem. This problem should have been handled at the Tukwila store where I originally purchased it from. Off to Mattress Firm, these are the phoniest reasons for not honoring the Warranty!
