I had an amazing experience with Aimee Duchsherer, general manager at Jared in Tukwila, WA. I do not normally write reviews unless it is honestly a truly bad experience or an experience I am thankful for. I am glad to say this is the latter. I went to numerous jewelers before I went to Jared to have them do a custom second band for my wedding ring before my wedding day. Each jeweler did not want to hear what I wanted or simply told me it could not be done. Discouraged, we went to Jared for my fiancé to get his ring. We did not know they could even do custom designs but thank goodness we asked. We were directed to Aimee who sat with us for over an hour while she listened to what I wanted and worked with me till she sketched out exactly what I had imagined. I honestly was blown away with the time and care she put in to my ring. We went through the steps and she was able to get my ring done before the wedding which wasn’t a lot of time. I ended up wanting one diamond moved after the wedding and she instantly brought it in and had it moved. When we picked up the ring after having the diamond moved, she was able to also solder my rings for a quick turnaround and so I could wear them as soon as possible. She took the upmost care of us and made us feel like we were important and what we wanted mattered. The customer service at Jared in Tukwila, WA is the best customer service I have ever had. I urge anyone thinking of getting a custom design or just looking to go to this store and location. Everyone we talked to here made us feel seen and appreciated and no matter the attire we came in. We have had so many experiences where we have been treated poorly because we didn’t dress up to buy a new car etc. We are a couple who is fortunate to have a lot more money then most and for this reason we purposely do not make it obvious what we can afford and only go to the places who give us good customer service no matter how we look. Jared didn’t judge us and gave us excellent service. It is very nice to be able to write this raving review about somewhere treating us well no matter our attire or task (pre or post sale). Read moreI have a complaint. I had a negative experience with Chris at the Tukwila store on Sunday 2/25/24. I came in for my ring inspection. I have always had both my wedding band purchased from Jared and my engagement ring from a different jeweler inspected and serviced (if needed) by Jared in Tukwila. I have been a customer for nearly 14 YEARS. Jared Tukwila is the only place that has serviced my rings. I was told by the first staff they would service my engagement ring for two loose stones for $99. I have had this done several times over the many years I've been a customer. I was waiting for her to process the service order then Chris said they wouldn't be able to do it due to damage on the under carriage. I was shocked. I was very upset about being told this. He didn't seem to care and just said “Sorry”. The damage he was referring to has been from getting my ring serviced at Jared. Jared did the damage. Since I'm not a jeweler, when I noticed dented sections on my under carriage in 2022, I assumed the best, that it was normal to occur when repairing. He said they need to be able to guarantee their work and couldn’t service tightening two diamonds because of the damage in the under carriage (caused by Jared repair services over the years). And like I mentioned, I didn't think much of the dents left on the under carriage because I thought it was normal for the repair, perhaps. Little did I know it would become the reason for refusing service. As I said, it didn't occur to me that the damage was even damage at the time, as I am not a professional jeweler. I noticed the slight denting, but since Jared has always serviced my rings, I trusted the workmanship. I've since had several inspections and I was told, no issues with my ring each time. They would clean it and see me six months later.
Even their customer service chat said “Are they looking into providing a resolution? This sounds like something they can work with their design center on quite easily to have done.”
There was no effort on a resolution for repair, nothing.

Read moreBad experience. From the beginning We came in with three rings selected and just wanted to take a look and then discuss things again. We showed the sales counselor the rings of interest and was not shown any of them until after the sales counselor had shown my future fiance a ring that would require a 2 carat diamond to look decent. That quickly pushed us from the 8-10k range to about 20k. My fiance quickly fell in love with a ring at that level.
When the quote was written up a sale was mentioned in the process of 10% off. I looked at the write up thinking it was before trade in. I thought about the amount and how after trade it would not be too far past the budget. We supposedly came on the last day of the sale. So I figured the savings made it worth it to pull the trigger and make her happy.
We proceeded with the purchase and when the first statement came in I figured it was a mistake. So I called the card services and asked them. They figured it would be corrected next statement.
Next statement, still the same issue. I called several times. On one occasion a representative told me you can't have a trade in with the sale. This was not stated to me during the time of the purchase.
So Jared basically manipulated me into a false deal and stole almost $2000 out of my pocket. Avoid all Jared locations.
About the only thing they did right was transferring the warranty I purchased to the new owner of the ring.
I just find it convenient that trying to resolve it, and the answer of no sale with trade in came after the return...
