I’ve been happily going to steakfinger for 11 years so I absolutely HATE doing this. I’ve noticed that the service is slow and lacking, people have started complaining in store, but the food has been good so i haven’t complained. Is it annoying to wait 20 minutes on my lunch break for a burger to-go? Sure. But it’s good and affordable!! Today, however, I ordered my usual- every day special, single, with cheese, no onions. I ordered and paid at 11:57. There was NO rush when I ordered. Two people in front of me, already sitting and waiting on food, 1 behind me who came in about 5 minutes after I ordered. They all got their orders within 10 minutes and left. A group of two and a group of four came in about 15 minutes after. So no “lunch rush” by downtown standards. I got my order at 12:30… 33 minutes after I ordered a single burger, no onions, with fries. Again- I’ve waited before and don’t complain. However, after I wasted 30 minutes of my lunch waiting on food, and walked back to my office, less than 3 minutes. my fries were cold and my burger was burnt and was legitimately meat, pickles, and ketchup. I’ve worked in the service industry. I understand that things happen and you get busy...and in their defense, the girl working the counter/kitchen let me know that next time I won’t have to pay. I don’t know her, she doesn’t know me, there’s no way to know who I am the next time I’m in there. And honestly, I don’t want a free meal. I want to be able to grab a burger at lunch and not wait 30 minutes for the wrong meal. I don’t want to go to a restaurant with 2 employees who seemed annoyed any time someone ordered food or they were forced to interact with humans. I’m super bummed because I love this place, but I...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO STARS I would. absolutely INEDIBLE. The fries tasted like they were 5 days old and refried. steak fingers are burnt to a rubbery crisp. Dr pepper was just basically carbonated water with no soda syrup. Realized all this after waiting 25 min in store.... after I had already placed my to go order online and walked there on my lunch break. Only one man working at lunch time and he did not acknowledge anyone that came in. I stood there for 15 minutes before he spoke to me. I would have left but I had already paid for my food. Finally a lady came in to help and she was rude clothes were dirty and she didn't wash her hands when getting into the kitchen. The man tossed my food in the box and a few steak fingers fell onto the counter...the Lady picked them up with unwashed bare hands and put them in the box.🤮 NEVER AGAIN...
Read moreI gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed. I haven't eaten here in at least 10 years, maybe longer. I've been downtown this week and wanted to go, because it used to be my favorite place to eat. I went this evening and got the steakfinger basket. It is not even remotely close to what it used to be. The gravy was like water, not even thick enough to stick to the steak or French fries. The steakfingers were bland and chewy. The fries were ok, because they were at least fresh-cut. The Texas toast was crispy, buttery, and on point, I'll give em that. I just miss the super thin pieces of meat with the great crispy batter on the outside, and the thick pepper gravy. I can't speak to the quality of the burgers, but what I had today wasn't worth...
