We were so looking forward to trying this place out. Thought we would appreciate the idea and concept of eating in a place that was inspired by Magic tricks. Had heard a few good things, but also had a few warnings be honest. The place needs a good cleaning, the food seems to be really good (at least what we all ordered, we really liked). But we risked our health because the dining room area was pretty filthy. It felt like a thin layer of oily grime was covering everything, the tables, chairs, and benches as well as the floor and the walls. The decor had something to do with magic, like rabbits inside hats, and the lights were top hats. We thought that was clever. However, they also had hooks and hangers left on the walls as if art or something had been there in the past, but was now gone. The restrooms were equally as dirty, with grim in corners from sloppy mopping, and no toilet paper. The layout of the tables and chairs compared to where the kitchen door was, and the navigation to the restrooms seem to be not well thought out and could potentially be a slip hazard or accidents could happen when people run into the servers trying to get to the restrooms. We probably will never go back. I’m hopeful that I will hear good news one day, that they...
Read moreWent to this place twice the first time was with my co-workers for lunch got a great meal for a fair value decided to go the next day for breakfast with my wife and boy howdy what a different experience, there were probably at least 10 wait staff but for not because nothing was coming out of the kitchen literally it took 40 minutes to get our simple order I had a Ham and Cheese omelet and my wife had pancakes and bacon by the way i would have thought my meal would have come with more than one piece of toast anyway nothing special about the meal much better value at other places in town the only high point was that the front of the house manager did ask how it was and when I told her she gave us a 10.00 dollar gift certificate which at this point I'm trying to decide whether it's worth going and spending 30 to 40 dollars for a 10 dollar certificate which is one of two reasons I might try it again the other being our waitress who did a good job the manager said they had an electrical problem next time you might tell your customer and let them decide if its worth the wait I almost felt like I was held hostage by not informing me and letting me decide if I...
Read moreFood/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - the to go orders came in really large foil containers. Chicken Fried Steak with sunny side up egg and sourdough bread was outstanding! The steak was seasoned well and they gave enough country gravy for us to cover the entire steak and makes us come back for additional bites. A proper sunny side up egg that we were very happy about and it was a really big portion
Single French Connection with over hard eggs and ham steak. The french toast was different than usual since it's on a baguette rather than a brioche or white bread. It's a bit tougher due to the crust rather than being pillowy soft like usual. The egg coating was good with some cinnamon sugar. The two syrups were interesting but very very sweet. Over hard eggs were fried well and the ham steak is good but not memorable
