Terrible Experience – Food Poisoning from Boba Tea

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Happy Lemon Tea Shop in Tyler, Texas. After enjoying boba tea with my child, we both became violently ill just hours later, suffering from severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It was clear we had food poisoning, and the only common factor was the tea from this shop.

This experience was not only miserable but alarming, as it points to serious issues with food safety and hygiene. For a place that serves something as popular as boba, I expected much higher standards in ingredient handling and cleanliness.

I will not be returning, and I urge others to think twice before visiting unless they take immediate steps to improve their food safety practices. Getting sick after a treat like boba tea is unacceptable.

I'm just over all impressed with my experience. First, the guy who made it. I asked him what kind of black tea is used in their Boba milk tea. He knew the awnser. He knew the name of the kind of black tea. Assam. I've never heard anyone know the tea by name and not by type. Second, They ask you for your sweetness preference by percentage. 0% 25% 50% 100% Third over all taste is amazing. This is my first time getting Boba tea, and I'm not disappointed. I haven't had this kind of tea in awhile and not made myself personally. I'm very happy to know I have a new place to go for on the go tea, as sadly there are not many tea shops here. Wow! Such an exceptional place for all of your boba cravings. My little fam and I passed through Tyler on our way back to SE TX and stopped here for a rest and a drink. Leo was awesome! He took our order and was so helpful in explaining the drink options along with levels of sweetness, toppings, etc. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. The ingredients are noticeably quality here. SUPER yummy!!

Regardless if you've got a major sweet tooth or are looking for something a little on the more sugar conscious side, they've got an option for you. This place has such a cute vibe. Wish we could bring them back home with us! Definitely a stop to add to the list if you find...
