My husband and I are regulars....at least once a week we like to enjoy a meal there. We want to continue but our biggest complaint is the ice cream machine! This is coming from true ice cream lovers.....a BIG reason we like eating there! Tonight was the third time ( from our last 4 visits) there was an issue with the ice cream machine - once it only had vanilla available, another time the machine was totally down and tonight it actually was working but NO cones ....really.....out of cones??? Hard to understand how a restaurant would not be better prepared than this...especially during the summer months. We sincerely hope things will improve soon- we want to continue being regulars! :) 12/18/21 UPDATE - Well, hard to believe it, but we went to have a nice lunch today and of course, as always, to have an ice cream cone for dessert. Just as we were walking by the ice cream machine one of the staff members was taping a "OUT OF ORDER" sign to the machine.....seriously???? I can't remember the last time it WAS working ....is our timing that bad that we seem to always go when there's trouble with getting an ice cream cone after our meal? But what was more concerning today was that when my husband decided to let the manager know about our continued disappointment with the ice cream saga, he simply shrugged his shoulders and said : " yes, it keeps breaking down a lot and there's not much we can do about it" Really?? We can think of a few things that could be done. His attitude and response were less than acceptable to us. Perhaps he needs a little more training is customer relations! I do believe he was the assistant manager on duty we dealt with. I sure hope they soon come to a solution..... it just might be time to get a new ice...

6/25/21 it is with Delight that we found that this location has improved greatly. The place was clean including the bathroom. I had my usual Rubin sandwich my wife enjoyed the salad bar. The sandwich was well made and tasty. The salad bar was well stocked and clean. Thanks for the improvement. 2/18/20 We are big fans of Jason's Deli so it's with regret that I write this review, our last two visits were disappointing, it seems the condition of the restaurant has declined for example, on both recent visits our food sat on the prep line in view until it was luke warm. The drink counter had what looked like soiled rags stuffed under the counter to catch water. The soda fountain needed a good cleaning, the coke mixture was off, the staff was notified. The tables around us need to be wiped down. The bathroom stall lock was broken and the bathroom needed a good cleaning. That being said the salad bar was well stocked and my Ruben sandwich was tasty even luke warm but the cup of chicken soup was lacking I believe it was the mushy noodles. The staff was lacking the spark I knew three months ago. I will return next week when I am in Tyler for business, I hope things improve.

Three months ago My Wife said they have the best salad bar in town. The salad bar was cleaned and stocked with fresh food regularly. I had my standard half Rubin Sandwich and cup of soup. The price was right for the amount of food you get with your order. They have a nice selection of food to choose from, no one leaves hungry. If you have never eaten at Jason's Deli you have...

My daughter and I went to Jason's tonight it was after 9:00 when we arrived and was close to or a little after 9:30 by the time we made it up to the register to do our order. We had our food for at the most 10 minutes when a manager informed us we had 5 minutes to eat and leave. I had taken maybe 4 bites of my soup. My daughter had just barely started eating her salad. The staff had been instructed to get dishes and trash from our table. It is not cheap to eat at your establishment and the management didn't have a problem taking our money for us to eat at Jason's. If I wanted take out that is what I would have ordered. On top of the rude management and the food being Luke warm. The minute the manager had shut the door he was pointing at us and you could tell he was letting his employees know he didn't appreciate our business. Well lucky for him I worked in customer service for at least twenty years. There is a thing called the 10 10 10 theory. I plan on using it to let as many people as possible know what terrible service we received. And just do the manager doesn't have to put up with us again that will not be a problem. Tonight was the last time I will enter a Jason's Deli again for a long time. Advice to anyone reading this do not go there if it is close to closing you might not be able to eat...

The price on the sandwich we normally buy went up by 10% since we last bought it. I know inflation is bad, but that's a pretty big one-time increase. They've also started nickeling and diming everything, which annoys me even more than the price increases. I used to be able to get a couple pickle spears and the tiny bit of extra muffaletta mix for free if I ask. Now, not only is there a 19 cent charge per pickle, but the pickles are literally half the size (see the picture; really, 3 inches?). I was also charged about $4 for an extra container of olive mix, which I would have declined if I had been asked. It's really frustrating to see my online to go order have an extra $5 extra added after I had already paid. I would have appreciated a phone call to let me know about the new charges instead of just being surprised by it. I think the food is still good, but I will just limit how much I order here in the future.

Things to know about the NEW Jason's Deli. 1. No longer serve an unlimited salad buffet, it is one trip only. We were told to "pile it on". 2. There are no more plates on the buffet for your bread and add-ons. 3. Prices have increased overall. Additionally, the food was not good...cold soups with little flavor, definitely not worth the price. Also, one cannot possibly have a nice salad from the salad bar because stuff is missing, and you can't pile everything you want in one little bowl. Glad to say I won't be back to the new post pandemic Jason's Deli.

We've been to Jason's Deli's all over the US (where they have them) and to be honest, this one was below average when we first started coming here but it's now above average. It was rather dirty and slow at times. It's now very clean, fast service and the salad bar is well stocked. Good job!
