I would give this place 0 stars as a result of my experience last night, but am forced to give it 1 star. I've been going to this establishment for many years and enjoyed the service. Over the years I've gotten to know the former managers and staff. We've had conversations outside of the uncomfortable exchange most managers have with their patrons when they ask about your dining experience towards the end of the meal. However, last night proved to me the changing of the guard, and my last time doing business with this restaurant. I placed a to-go order for two orders of camel wings. When I picked up my order, and upon my departure I asked for some garlic butter, which someone had to go get it. When they returned with the garlic butter there was only one container. I asked if I could have another one and this is when the food runner said, "we charge for the second request." To this I say, "Really?" I'm just so tired of the charges on condiments and especially at these haughty establishments that are overpriced to begin with cause your paying for the ambience. I quickly expressed how I felt about it knowing there would be no resolve, which was indeed the case when I called and talked to the manager. I asked him how many sauces would he give for two orders of camel wings and his replay was, "Garlic butter doesn't come with the camel wings." I understand that may be so, but if a patron asked you for ketchup is your response going to be "well that item doesn't come with ketchup." I just hope that not for the sake of them this is not their standard response when requests are made by a patron. To make a long story short I told the manager this is the last time I was doing business with them and instead of trying to keep me as a customer he was okay with losing me as a customer. I feel like any establishment not willing to fight to keep the business of one customer doesn't deserve to be in business at all. Overall, I just saw the situation as being poorly handled it. So, so long farewell Lebanese Taverna, it was nice doing business with you for...
Read moreI would usually give it a 5 star review because in general the Lebanese Taverna is a wonderful experience. However the Tysons Corner location needs some work.
When we ordered our food they got it wrong. Not only did it come out late it just wasn't correct at all. The service was sub par at best.
There seemed to be a lack of communication from shift lead to manager or just in general a very poor communication structure amongst staff. To be honest it was disappointing and upsetting to witness
Staff had to be flagged down and every approach to get help. Staff would willingly ignore tables if they needed help and the waiters seemed more interested to be on the phones than not. I didn't realize your(staff's) ego was more important than helping your team and doing your job
Instagram can wait, your job however you cannot.
It was really upsetting to see a restaurant that is insulted by staff when its name is held in such high regard.
At the end no compensation was given for the long wait times nor was a manager brought in, to explain the situation at hand. It was just accepted. Again disappointing
The worst part was that your restaurant wasn't even busy. If it was that could be an acceptable reason as to what was going on but it just seemed that your team was being carless and lazy which just looks bad for the brand name and management team
I really do hope the restaurant gets its act together sooner than later otherwise I won't be...
Read moreI reserved a table for 2 for my husband’s birthday. The reservation form asked if our visit was for a special event and I chose “birthday.”
We got a little lost finding the restaurant only because their sign is right next to Cheesecake Factory. We kept walking towards the sign from the parking lot but there was no entrance. We went inside the mall and realized that it was on the lower ground level.
As we entered, we were greeted and asked if we had reservations- which we did. We were seated immediately. There was a lot of people there that day but the staff was quick and efficient.
The food was good. I can’t say that it is the best Lebanese restaurant I’ve been to, but it is decent. It is a little more pricier than other food comparable Lebanese restaurants but you are also paying for the service and ambience. It’s a classy place. The lentil soup was really good and filled me up. My husband got the lamb and he said it was just “ok.” I also got the chef’s platter and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was probably the best thing we ordered. I basically got to taste all the appetizers in one sitting. We also ordered ice cream for desert. The pistachio ice scream is a must! They even brought the ice cream out with a candle and the servers wished my husband a happy birthday. It was a sweet touch.
Overall, it was good. I would eat here again. There’s plenty of parking, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the staff...
