Poor customer service and negative experience. I visited this store to return a necklace that was given to me as a gift. The price tag was still attached along with the gift box so I could return if I didn't like it. There were very few customers in the store and the clerks at the jewelry counter were all huddled together discussing some issue. After a few minutes, a very haughty saleswoman (I say this because she did not appear at all friendly and appear to note that I was not there to purchase but rather return). She asked if she could help and after informing her that I wanted to return the necklace, she asked for the receipt. I explained that it was a gift and that I did not have a receipt, but that the tag was still attached and it had not been worn, so didn't believe it would be a problem. Immediately, she stated that I could not return the item, that I should find out how the item was paid for (the credit card number) so they could tell when the item was purchased. She said the merchandise was 'old' and that they don't take returns that over 30 days. I noted in the jewelry counter, a very similar necklace by the same brand so the necklace was not 'old'. She continued to deny my request to return the necklace with a manager approval. I asked to see the manager. She finally went around to the other side of the counter and discussed my issue with 'the manager' and returned to tell me that she would offer me store credit for whatever the latest price was. I agreed to this as I would not ever wear the necklace and it was rather expensive. After keying in the information on the price tag, it showed that the item had not been discounted and was still considered 'current' merchandise. I was given a full store credit - but left with a negative feeling. I shared that this would never have been an issue at Nordstroms, I will find some use for the store credit and hopefully not have to visit...
Read moreI placed this order and expected to receive $600 gift card. But only received $75. I contact the customer representatives. They were very disappointing and lied to me and tried to fool me.
The first one said I was issued $75 because I received a free sample. But in fact promotion code of free sample online didn’t say it could not be combined with the gift card code. And he even blame me by saying it was me not read the small words under the advertisement carefully.
Actually, both of them were part of the advertisement to attract the customers to buy. They can be used at the same time. Saks fifth lied and tried to cheating me in saying so.
The representative said he could do nothing because the order had been placed and completed. This was so irresponsible and rude! Saks fifth induced the customer spent more by sending this promotion. And when they knew it was their fault they refused to correct their mistake. This is vicious not negligent.
The representative hold me a long time then hung up. When I called the another representative, he knew it was Saks fifth fault but he refused to correct it by issuing a right amount gift card. Instead he said they had to investigate for 10- 15 days!
Saks fifth neglectly issued a wrong gift card. They didn’t admit it, refuse to correct their mistake when they know it was their fault. Instead, they tried to fool me and delay the...
Read moreTerrible. I expect more from a Saks. I made an alteration appointment a week ago online. I get in at opening and tossed around to two employees to answer my question. One finally answers me and just says, "we don't do alterations." I told him I made an appointment online. He responded, "online people don't tell us anything. Ok follow me." Takes me to the fitting room and tells me to wait there. Wait there for what? 5 minutes later, an Asian man comes to tell me to come out. No other direction whatsoever. He points at a mirror and I think oh wear my suit. Ok. But dressing room door closed and now it's locked so I change in the hallway. Another employee comes by confused and she asks if she can help, and I said no it's too late for that. Even the fitting experience was bad. Nothing really done. Then he instructed me to go back to the rude employee who stuffed me in the dressing room with no information. He starts asking for my information, and I asked I have an account with Saks, which he then says online account and in store account is different. ...why and how? Then he charges me $20 and then no other information. I asked when it will be done, and he stated that I'll be contacted when it's done.
I get more detailed information from a McDonald's, and get treated better at an Applebee's. This is an elite shopping establishment....
