I have been eating Char'd burgers off their trucks for the past year. I saw a video of one of those smash burgers and I thought "that looks like the best cook on a Smashburger I've I've ever seen". When I went to the truck, I discovered it was. When I started eating them I was blown away. I have had a myriad of smash burgers, but none can compare to Char'd. It is stunningly delicious in its simplicity.
I've had my first trip to their place in Tysons Galleria, and the quality is the same. This is one of the best Smashburger you can eat and definitely in my top five burgers of all time. I do the original burger it's fantastic, but I prefer the hot burger. Maybe extra jalapeños. Their house made To sauces are phenomenal. Now that they have a brick and mortar. I'll just go by cups of the sauce to have on hand. Fantastic french fries as well. Everything is fresh. It's made to order worth the extra few minutes. You have to wait.
The Services is also fantastic. Everybody I met associated with the truck on their social media. The owner Khalil Is just a good guy man. He's the kind of guy you want to win. He's genuine, he's nice, and loves his customers and loves what he does. To be honest, that may be one of the first thing I noticed the first time After I chased him down on my motorcycle all the way to Centerville from Reston after I saw that video. I was doing 80 mph down the road as I knew he was closing in 30 minutes. It was worth every bit of effort and they still are today and their new location. I really, really love these guys and rooting for their success and I'll be eating in the hell out of their burgers Whether it's the truck...
Read moreMy husband and I have always enjoyed Char’d and would always check their food truck locations and drive to them whenever we could! We are very picky with burgers and thought Char’d’s burgers were so juicy and delicious! When they added wings to their menu, we also really loved them as they were fall off the bone and always fresh. We always recommended it to our family and friends and they too started supporting and loving their food! Two weeks ago, we visited their newly opened branch at Tyson’s Galleria with our friends and we were so disappointed with the food and the service. The burgers just didn’t seem the same. The patties were so dry, tasteless and almost burned. There was no line so we thought service would be quick, considering that there were also at least 5-6 employees working that night. Food took a while and was mediocre. I could not believe the quality has gone down from what I remember it to be. We were so disappointed as we were looking forward to it and also wanted to continue supporting the business. I hope the management does something about this because they were doing so well and were serving such well made burgers in their food trucks! Hopefully they can make them as they...
Read moreI visited a few weeks ago and ordered a burger and fries. It was extremely busy, and while my food took a long time to prepare, I understood the wait given the long line. The staff member assisting me was kind enough to acknowledge me and let me know my order was coming up next, which I appreciated.
However, when I got home, I saw they had given me the wrong order. Mistakes happen, but what’s truly unacceptable is their complete lack of response. I have been calling repeatedly for the past two weeks, leaving multiple voicemails, yet no one has answered or returned my calls.
If you care about receiving the food you actually paid for and expect even the slightest level of customer service, I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place. But if you’re fine with paying for one thing and getting something completely different—with no way to resolve the issue—then by all means, give it a try.
Update: I emailed them and was able to get a refund. All the calls and messages were a waste of time however I am still happy we got...
