I normally do not write reviews, but after what I witnessed, I felt compelled to inform others and a little bad for the woman involved because I did not react fast enough to tell her what was done with her food. My girlfriend and I visited this establishment during the holiday weekend because we wanted pizza, saw it earlier that day and it was late. So options were few. Before I go any further, as a side note, I want to let everyone know this is not New York Style Pizza and I really wish pizza places would stop promoting themselves as New York Style. Especially this one! Being from New York, I can tell you with certainty, their pizza is not New York Style. It is more like Dominos or Pizza Hut, in style only. No offense to Dominoes and Pizza Hut! Continuing on, while we were waiting for our pizza, I watched one of the employees (a young girl about 18) take a pizza cutter (slicer) and drag it along the edge of the garbage can to clean it off. I was disgusted and in shock. Then, cut a woman's slice in half and give it to her. The woman walked off before I was able to say something, but when the girl realized I was watching and saw what she had done, she immediately took the slicer she'd just finished using and another one to the back and passed them to someone else who I could partially see was at the sink. She stood in the doorway the whole time. So when she returned, I said to her, "did you wash them?" She responded, "they always get washed" with a sort of smug attitude. I then told her that what she did was an unsanitary practice and she should not do that. She responded, "only food goes in there." I then told her, "It doesn't matter, that is an unsanitary practice, trust me." She then walked away with an obvious attitude. As we were leaving, I asked to speak with the manager (I believe his name is Mike). When he came over, I explained to him what happened and he was courteous in that he listened and thanked me for letting him know. However, his demeanor suggested that what I explained, went in one ear and out the other. Needless to say that pizza...
Read moreThey don’t toot their own Horn with a fancy look and bright lights like the pizza places near by but let me tell you from their kind family atmosphere to their food and even home made dressings every bite I ate their qualities spoke for its self! From the taste to the textures the appearance and aroma their food was the BOMB! My entire family enjoyed everything we got! The pizza had the perfect balance of crust to sauce and cheese ration PERFECTION! The lasagna WOW I don’t know what that extra spice was maybe a dash of cinnamon or coriander into the meat or sauce but YALL cracked the code! The Alfreda was the perfect consistency of sauce I have one thing I would do to enhance the flavor (doesn’t need it, I’m just a fan of this culinary tweak on many things to cut the cream a little) Id add a twist of lemon or lime! It’s exciting for the pallet! However, I can hands down say this is my favorite Alfredo, I have tried so many! That Greek salad I added tuna on top it’s just my thing and OHHHH MY goodness and with That home made Italian dressing 👌👌👌 it was so fresh the vegetables were crisp and delicious. For dessert we had brownies and the tiramisu. They were both perfect not too sweet and full of flavor and fun texture! My new favorite Italian spot period for pizza and past and salad this is all you need! I want a hoodie
I just had to come add this edit the next day I had the buffalo wings and some amazing dry rubbed wings! I don’t know what was in that dry rub but the balance and complexity of sweet, salty, savory was ON POINT! Delicious! I can’t say enough I’m just flat out impressed! The white pizza sealed the deal! It’s a food love affair 😂👌💯 I...
Read moreI didn't feel like pizza but I'm always up for a good meatball sandwich - of which this was not. The service was fantastic, very friendly and prompt and the sub looked great but it just didn't deliver. First off, it was f'ing hot! I have no doubt that the meatballs and sauce are kept in a warmer with the temperature set somewhere between Fukushima and the sun. Seriously, it had to be close to boiling. They could've delivered this sandwich to somewhere in Chesapeake and it would've still been hot on arrival. Anyway once it had cooled enough to nibble on I found that it actually has pretty good potential except for one major downfall - the meatballs. The bread was quite good and toasted just right, the sauce was excellent and it had plenty of mozzarella on it but the meatballs just didn't cut it. There were plenty of them but they're small and slide all around in the sandwich. But the worst aspect was the taste. They smelled and tasted of old meat to some degree, although not to the point I actually thought they had gone bad. These are essentially straight out of the freezer section of WalMart, and if they aren't I wouldn't admit it. I took half the sandwich home but on second thought I'm just going to throw it out. They should consider making their own meatballs. It wouldn't be hard and it would make a world of...
