Ok. I have mixed feelings about this boardwalk. PROS: Very walkable. Stores, restaurants, and amusement park are all easily within reach of many of the parking lots. Beach access was easy to find and clear. The beach itself was clean and pleasant. Staff everywhere were friendly. Boardwalk felt very safe, and relatively clean for an outdoor area
CONS: There are clubs/vape shops/bars randomly sprinkled in with the more family friendly stores. Even standard beach stores sell Marijuana products LOTS of henna tattoo places which doesnt bother me, but if you are not into that sort of thing there ya go While some stores are very family friendly, it is impossible to not pass stores selling clothing with... less that family friendly phrases or slogans on them. They are just in there as part of the mix. If you have young children, i might stick to the amusement park, beachfront, and "Sweet Frogs" lol.
All of that being said, i will definitely be returning as it was a great place to spend spring break. I never felt unsafe or at risk. Even at times where there were not a lot of people near by. And, there were several great restaurants that i sampled (reviewed...
Read moreIt was not as I expected (I came on mid August 2025). No public showers found or at least no clear direction about where to find them. Because of this the bathrooms are dirty with sand because people change in these even though the bathrooms have a sign that it is not allowed to change there. About the beach: the waves are big and they break just by the shoreline so they come with lot of sand, also it can be deep depending on how the waves is. I dit not enjoy it. However, the view is nice, the family atmosphere, and there lots of children which were tossed abruptly back and forth by the waves. I was surprised how some of them were bold to stand such waves. I enjoyed being buried on wet sand tho. Although, the waves will reach far in the shoreline. Parking is okay. Just $20 for a day parking which is better than in other places. There was a lifeguard in the area who was very good at their job. People may enjoy the airplanes passing by with huge advertising banners, or people jumping on their “parachutes” over the water. Just being by the water has a special effect on humans so it was still refreshing...
Read moreMy wife and I were recently there to visit relatives from out of town and in town that were staying in one of the hotels along the strip. So some of the pictures were shot from that advantage point. The beach is obviously very long and as the day progressed and the heat also increased so did the people and umbrellas. The boardwalk is more of a big sidewalk and that means it also reflects more heat. It is well maintained and has a lot of bushes and flowers running along the length of the Boardwalk, There is also no trees for shade, so make sure you wear suntan lotion if you are out for a long period of time. A bike path runs along the side of the boardwalk so be careful of the bike traffic. We walked down to Neptune's Statue to take some pictures and walk around Neptune's Park and a music group was on break at the gazebo. We did not go swimming but some family members did and we were on the beach with them for a few minutes and they liked it (teens) since they had boogie boards with them. There are plenty of restaurants along the boardwalk that you can get something to eat or bring your own...
