Inside, one peculiar chapter detailed a treasure hidden beneath Neptune’s feet, placed there centuries ago by seafarers who swore to guard it. Coincidence? Maybe. But as I stood before the statue, staring into Neptune’s cold, knowing eyes, it was hard to shake the feeling that the book wasn’t just a story.
