Panama Bay Coffee Co — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

Had been eye-ing this place for quite some time and I'm so glad I was finally able to swing by. I was met by such genuinely nice staff who initiated conversation (not the kind I typically avoid eye contact to not engage in). They were both so sweet when I told them it was my first time there and were willing to give plenty of recommendations based on what I told them I typically order. I ended up getting an iced "Erick's" drink and a Ham and Swiss croissant. Also, just wanted to touch on the ambiance of this place. It's such a quaint, cute, bright, little nook in the bustle of one of the main streets of Walnut Creek.

Continuing on with my thoughts on both the drink and the croissant I got. The drink was super rich and sweet- just up my lane of what I told them I like. The ham & Swiss croissant was buttery, crunchy (but not to the point where I have to get a clean up crew), and very sizable for the price.

Overall, I had such a great experience from the staff to the custom drink creation- that happened to be an ode to the general manager's name, and my croissant.

Of course the coffee and snacks are great...but the service is a 10 out of 5! These people aren't just baristas - they are part of our community. They care about their customers. My son was a two-time-a-day regular. When they heard of his passing, they reached out to me, his mom, (through his co-workers), wanting to share why they'd loved their favorite customer so much. Each employee wrote a note about him providing us with a whole new appreciation of his kindness and an example of how they care about their customers. Please run to Panama Bay Coffee yes, to enjoy their coffee, etc., but really run there to meet the kind and caring baristas who will make it a happy part of your day. And tell them...

I love this little coffee shop. It's so charming on the street corner and they have very good prices! I love coming here to grab a cup of coffee and then walk around the cute neighborhood with my dog, or walk a couple blocks to where the shops and restaurants are. It's not a place to come and sit down, but it is really fantastic for its location and quality.
